MySQL Workbench Installation (Windows)

Step 1: Open the MySQL website on a browser. Click on the following link: MySQL Downloads.
Step 2: Select MySQL Installer for Windows.
Step 3: Choose the installer shown (2.4M) and click on download.
Step 4: It will ask for permission; when it does, click Yes. The installer will then open. Now, it will ask to
choose the setup type. Here, select Custom.
Step 5: Open MySQL Servers, select the server you want to install, and move it to the Products/Features
to be installed window section. Now, expand Applications, choose MySQL Workbench and MySQL shell.
Move both to ‘Products/Features to be installed’.
Step 6: Execute downloads.
Step 7: Click next and then execute the installations.
Step 8: Click next.
Step 9: Let the default values stay the same and click next.
Step 10: For authentication, use the recommended strong password encryption and click next.
Step 11: Set your MySQL Root password and click on next.
Step 12: Click next
Step 13: Let the first option remain chosen and click next
Step 14: Click on execute. Once the configuration is complete, click on finish.
Step 15: Click next

Step 16: Click on next and finish.


Step 17: Once you have completed this, MySQL workbench has been installed successfully. Click on the
Local Instance you have created and enter your password from step 11.
This is how your Workbench should look finally!
