trainees about Training
CBT Ok, What is CBT? (read the slides)
So this means that CBT does not focus on what you know but what you
can actually do. It focuses more on the outcomes rather than the
process. And it is learner centered. Ok, do you have any questions?
Play slides…..
7 PRINCIPLES OF CBT
Principles of 1. Course design is based on competency standards set by the
CBT industry sector; (Learning system is driven by competencies
written to standards)
2. Training delivery is learning centered and should accomodate
individualized and self-faced learning strategies;
3. Training can be done on actual workplace settings, simulation
of a workplace and/or through adoption of modern technology
4. Assessment is based in the collection of evidence of the
performance of work to the industry required standards;
5. Assessment of competency takes the trainee’s knowledge and
attitude into account but requires evidence of actual
performance of the competency as the primary source of
evidence.
6. Training program allows for recognition of prior learning
(RPL) or current competencies
7. Training completion is based on satisfactory performance
of all specified competencies.
