Reflection:
Watching Peacock was a unique experience for me. At first, I found it difficult to
understand the movie because it was something new to me. I also experienced a
communication barrier because the movie was not in English. Even though there were
subtitles, I still had to focus more on the scenes, the characters' actions, and their
emotions to understand what was happening. Because of this, I did not fully understand
every part of the movie on my first watch.
As the story continued, I slowly understood its message. I realized that the
main character spent so much time pretending to be different people to satisfy others
that he started to lose his own identity. This made me think about how some people
change themselves just to be accepted or to meet other people's expectations. It
reminded me that while it is good to be kind and help others, it is also important to stay
true to yourself.
As a student, this movie taught me that I should never forget who I am. There
may be times when I feel pressure to fit in or act differently just to be accepted, but I
learned that being honest and genuine is more important. Everyone has their own
personality, strengths, and weaknesses, and we should accept ourselves instead of
pretending to be someone else.
