A client require a five story office building. Each floor of the building is 1000 m2 . The frame should provide an open space
therefore flat slabs should be used. Use your own layout to design a typical flat slab floor.
The following must also be used:
3 Openings to access the floor via stairs – position and size is your choice
One aditional 150 kN nominal load – position thereof is your choice
Submit the following:
• discussion regarding building layout etc. chosen
• PROKON or basic principle analysis (bending moments and shear foces diagrams)
• Hand calculations: design
• Drawing: Plan view: Concrete details and steel details
• Drawing: Typical section: Concrete details and steel details
• Completed bill of quantities for materials only with realistic matrial prices
