The Anti-Ragging Week was organised as a
comprehensive awareness initiative to
educate the campus community about the
consequences of ragging and the importance
of maintaining dignity, mutual respect and a
positive academic environment.
Throughout the week, various awareness and
engagement activities were undertaken to
disseminate anti-ragging messages among
students and staff. Social media campaigns
and awareness posts were promoted using
the hashtag #YaARIYouthAgainstRagging,
along with appropriate tagging of the UGC
and C4Y, to extend the reach of the
campaign beyond the campus.
The institution also encouraged active
participation from students, faculty members
and non-teaching staff in the various
programmes. Awareness messages and
activities were shared through the
institution's website and social media
platforms to reinforce the message that
ragging in any form is unacceptable.
The week-long observance provided an
opportunity for the campus community to
collectively reaffirm its commitment towards
a ragging-free, safe and welcoming
educational environment.

The following activities were conducted
during the Anti-Ragging Week from 12 to 18
August 2026 to create awareness among
students and promote a safe, respectful and
ragging-free campus environment.
3.1 Social Media and Digital Awareness
Campaign
A social media and digital awareness
campaign was conducted to spread
awareness about the harmful effects of
ragging and the importance of maintaining a
safe and inclusive campus environment. Anti-
ragging awareness messages and creative
content were shared through digital platforms
to reach a wider student audience.
The campaign promoted the message of
Youth Against Ragging and utilised the
hashtag #YaARIYouthAgainstRagging to
support and amplify the anti-ragging
awareness initiative.
3.2 Competitions and Creative Activities
Various competitions and creative activities
were organised to actively engage students
in the Anti-Ragging Week campaign. Students
participated in activities based on anti-
ragging themes, providing them with an
opportunity to express their ideas and
creatively communicate the importance of
preventing ragging.
The activities encouraged students to
understand the negative consequences of
ragging and promoted values such as mutual
respect, empathy, responsibility and
inclusiveness.
3.3 Anti-Ragging Workshops and
Interactive Sessions
Anti-ragging workshops and interactive
sessions were conducted to educate students
about the seriousness of ragging, its adverse
consequences and the importance of
maintaining a safe academic environment.
The sessions encouraged open interaction
and discussion among students and helped
create greater awareness about responsible
behaviour, mutual respect and the role of
every student in preventing ragging on
campus.
3.4 Participation of Students
Students actively participated in the various
awareness activities conducted during Anti-
Ragging Week. Their involvement in the
social media campaign, competitions,
creative activities, workshops and interactive
sessions contributed to spreading the anti-
ragging message throughout the campus.
The active participation of students
demonstrated their collective commitment
