Summer Internship Guidelines

All students are hereby informed that the Summer Internship guidelines for the
Academic Session 2025-26 shall remain the same as last year. Kindly note that
Internship is mandatory for all students. Number of Hours must be 40+. Students are
advised to carefully follow the instructions mentioned below:

1. First Year Students (All Programs)

• It is mandatory to complete an Online Course during the Summer Break


through NPTEL, SWAYAM, ICT Academy approved platforms.
• Students must submit:
o Course Completion Certificate
o Project Report based on the selected course/topic
• Departments shall guide students in identifying suitable online courses and
provide necessary information.

2. Second Year Students (3-Year Programs)

• It is mandatory to undergo a 6–8 Weeks Summer Internship in a reputed


organization/company.
• Students must submit the Internship Report as prescribed in the syllabus.
• Students are required to apply online for internships offered by Government
Organizations, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Startups, and reputed
private companies (Domestic/MNCs).
• A record of all internship applications submitted by the student must be
maintained and submitted to the Department.
• Faculty Mentors shall regularly monitor and verify the authenticity of
internships.

3. Second Year Students (4-Year Programs)

Students may choose either of the following:

• Online Course through NPTEL/SWAYAM/COURSERA, OR


• 6–8 Weeks Summer Internship in a Company as per the guidelines mentioned
above.

4. Third Year Students (4-Year Programs)

• It is mandatory to undergo a 6–8 Weeks Summer Internship in a reputed


organization/company.
• Internship Report submission is compulsory as per syllabus requirements.
• Students must apply online for prominent internship opportunities offered by
Government Organizations and reputed private companies.
• Faculty Mentors shall maintain records and ensure authenticity of internships.

7. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)
8. Reliance Industries

Important Instructions

• Students must maintain a Weekly Progress Report in the prescribed format


and submit it to their respective Departments as and when required.
• Departments shall compile and submit internship details, company
confirmations, application status, and student records to DEEPRO.
• Students are advised to secure internship confirmations at the earliest and
remain in regular contact with their Faculty Mentors.

Deadline

All students must complete the necessary formalities and submit required information
to their respective Departments within the timelines communicated by the
Department.

Non-compliance with the above guidelines may affect the evaluation of Summer
Training/Internship credits as per University regulations.
