WRITING PART 2
In many countries, young people don’t communicate with older people as much as they used to
- Why is this happening ?
- How could this situation be improved ?
In many countries, young people tend to communiacte with older people less frequently than in the
past. This essays will discuss the main reasons for this trend and this situation have improve.
There are several reasons why this is happening. Firstly, the development of technology has changed
the way young people communicate. Many teenagers like using the social media as Messenger,
Instagram or other message applications to communicate and talk with their friends because it help
they feel fast and convenient. As the result, they may spend less time in face-to-face with older
family members. Secondly, there is often generation gaps between young people and older people.
They may different about lifestyles, opinions and interests which can make conversations less
interesting or sometimes difficult for both sides.
However, this situation has improved and reduce generation gaps between young people and older
people in several ways. Firstly, families should create more opportunities for different generations to
spend time together, such as having meals, travelling or doing household activities together. This can
help young people and older people understand each other better. Secondly, young people should
reduce the amount of time they spend on social media and make more effort to communicate with
older people. They can also help elderly people understand modern lifestyles and social changes. In
addition, young people could teach them how to use basic functions of modern technological devices,
such as smartphones and computers. This would not only improve communication between the two
generations but also help older people feel more comfortable with changes in society.
In conclusion, the lack of communication between young and older people is mainly caused by the
increasing use of technology and the generation gap. To improve this situation, families should create
more opportunities for them to spend time together, while young people should reduce their time on
social media and actively help older people understand modern life and technology.
