Project Overview
Check Marks & Cross Marks are clean and fully customizable icon pack designed for
confirmations, approvals, errors, and UI feedback animations.
This project includes:
• Check Marks – 16 styles
• Cross Marks – 16 styles
• Brush Check Marks – 6 styles
• Brush Cross Marks – 6 styles
Each icon includes a centralized Control Panel for fast color, opacity, shadow, and transform
customization.
All icons follow the same control structure and workflow.
How To Use
• Open the After Effects project file
• Open any composition (Check Marks / Cross Marks / Brush Check Marks / Brush Cross
Marks)
• Select the Control Pannel layer
• Press F3 to open the Effect Controls panel
• Adjust colors, opacity, shadow, and transform settings
• Preview changes instantly in the composition
Step 1 – Color Controls
Tick Color – Adjust this to change the color of the tick or cross icon.
BG Color – Adjust this to change the background circle color behind the icon.
For stroke versions, this will affect the stroke color of the icon shape.
Step 2 – Advanced Controls
Tick Opacity – Adjust this to control the visibility of the tick or cross icon.
BG Opacity – Adjust this to control the visibility of the background shape.
Step 3 – Drop Shadow Controls
Shadow Color – Adjust this to change the shadow color.
Shadow Opacity – Increase this to make the shadow visible.
Shadow Direction – Adjust to control the angle of the shadow.
Shadow Distance – Adjust to control how far the shadow spreads.
Shadow Softness – Increase this to make the shadow smoother and softer.
Use shadow controls to create depth and UI realism.
Step 4 – Global Controls
Global Position – Adjust this to move the icon anywhere inside the composition.
Global Scale – Adjust this to resize the entire icon uniformly.
Global Rotation – Adjust this to rotate the icon.
These controls affect the entire icon setup.
Step 5 – Out Animation Time
Out Animation Time (In Sec): Define how long the "exit" animation lasts. For example, setting
this to 5 will make the icon fade or animate out over 5 seconds.
Using Other Icon Styles
The same workflow applies to:
• Cross Marks (16 Styles)
• Brush Check Marks (6 Styles)
• Brush Cross Marks (6 Styles)
Open the required composition and use the Control Panel layer to customize the icon.
All icon styles follow identical control logic to ensure consistent customization and animation
behavior.
Rendering / Export
Transparent Background (alpha)
Open final composition
Press Ctrl + M / Cmd + M
Output Module → QuickTime
Format: Apple ProRes 4444
Channels: RGB + Alpha
Click Render
MP4 Export
Add composition to Render Queue
Format: H.264
Adjust quality as needed
