As part of my investigation into the importance of history and heritage, I conducted an interview with a
person outside my family. Our discussion focused on the meaning of heritage, the value of history in
today’s society, and some of the challenges faced in preserving cultural identity in a changing world. This
interview helped me gain a better understanding of how heritage connects people to their past and why it
remains important for future generations.

One challenge is that traditions are sometimes not passed down properly to younger generations.
Another challenge is that modern technology and social media can sometimes spread incorrect
information or reduce important cultural practices to simple trends.
5. How can people help preserve history and heritage?
People can help preserve heritage by learning about their culture, respecting traditions, listening to elders,
keeping family stories alive, and sharing accurate information about their history and customs.

How Social Media Could Have Helped
