Scene1
Narrator:
"Madeira, Portugal. Long before the world knew the name Cristiano Ronaldo, he was a young boy
helping his family through difficult times. Every small job meant a little more food on the table, and
every coin brought him one step closer to his dream."
(Two passersby walk by and notice him.)
Passerby 1 (laughing)
"Look at him... sweeping streets."
Passerby 2
"And he thinks he'll become a football star!"
Passerby 1
"What are you saving your money for?"
Ronaldo
"A football."
Passerby 2 (mockingly)
"A football? You should be worrying about your next meal."
(The passersby laugh and walk away. Ronaldo quietly finishes sweeping, puts the broom aside, picks up
his makeshift ball, and begins practicing alone.)
(His mother enters.)
Mother
"Cristiano... you've worked all day. Come home."
Ronaldo
"Maybe."
Mother (smiles)
"Then why keep playing?"
Ronaldo
"Because if I stop now, I'll still be in the same place tomorrow."
Scene2
Narrator
"At just twelve years old, Cristiano received the opportunity to join Sporting CP's academy in Lisbon. To
chase his dream, he had to leave Madeira—and his family—behind."
Mother
"You're only twelve. Are you sure you want to do this?"
Ronaldo
"If I stay... my dream stays here too."
(He picks up his suitcase.)
Mother
"Play with your heart. I am always with you"
Ronaldo
"I won't let you down"
(He walks away without looking back. His mother watches him leave.)
Narrator
"Sometimes, the hardest part of building a dream is taking the first step away from home."
Narrator
"Lisbon wasn't what Cristiano expected. He was far from home, surrounded by strangers, and even the
way he spoke made him stand out."
Teammate 1 (mocking his Madeiran accent)
"What did you just say?"
Teammate 2 (laughing)
"I can't understand a word he's saying!"
Teammate 1
"Maybe football is easier than speaking for you."
(The teammates laugh. Ronaldo looks down briefly but says nothing.)
Narrator
"For many people, that would have been enough to make them quit."
(Coach blows a whistle.)
Coach
"Training's over! Everyone head home."
(The teammates leave, still laughing and chatting among themselves.)
Teammate 2
"See you tomorrow, Madeira!"
(They exit.)
(Ronaldo stays behind. He places a few cones and begins dribbling through them. Then he practices
shots, retrieves the ball, and repeats.)
(Coach notices and walks over.)
Coach
"Everyone else has gone home. Why are you still here?"
Ronaldo
"Practice make Perfect"
(The coach watches silently for a moment, then nods.)
Narrator
"While others saw an accent, Cristiano saw an obstacle. And like every obstacle before it, he decided to
outwork it."

Scene 4 – The Setback

(Lights up. Ronaldo is seated. The doctor enters with a report.)
Narrator
"Just as Cristiano was settling into life at Sporting CP, he faced another obstacle—one that had nothing
to do with football."
Doctor
"Cristiano, we've found that your heart is beating faster than it should."
Mother
"Can he still play football?"
Doctor
"Not like this. He'll need surgery. It's the only way he can safely continue playing."
(Ronaldo looks worried but remains calm.)
Ronaldo
"When can I play again?"
Doctor
"First, you need to recover."
Narrator
"The surgery was successful. While others would have taken it easy, Cristiano couldn't wait to get back."
(Ronaldo is gently practicing with a football. The coach notices.)
Coach
"You've only just recovered."
Ronaldo
"I need to work harder now"
(He continues training.)
Narrator
"Every setback delayed his dream—but never stopped it. Step by step, day by day, he kept moving
forward."

Scene 5 – The Reward

(Ronaldo stands centre stage. A reporter walks up with an imaginary microphone.)

"Years passed. Every sacrifice, every setback, every extra hour of practice slowly shaped Cristiano
Ronaldo into one of the best footballers in the world."
Reporter
"Cristiano, you've just won your first Ballon d'Or. How does it feel?"
Ronaldo
"It feels good."
Reporter
"Did you ever think, when you were a child in Madeira, that you would be standing here today?"
Ronaldo
"There were times when it was difficult. But I never stopped believing, and I never stopped working."
Reporter
"So what's the secret to your success?"
Ronaldo
"There isn't one. Just work hard, be patient, and don't give up."
Narrator
"People remember the trophy. They don't always remember the years it took to earn it."
(All the previous characters—Mother, Coach, Doctor, etc.—walk onto the stage and stand behind
Ronaldo.)
