WRITING TASK 1

The provided chart illustrates the information about three types of the waste
disposal in a European country in 4 years, from 2005 to 2008.
Overall, while landfill recorded a significant decrease between 2005 and 2008,
burning waste rose by nearly one-third of the initial figure. Notably, there was a
constant fluctuation every year in the amount of dumping at sea.
Regarding landfill sites, in 2005, it dominated at 1800 million tonnes compared to
other categories. However, over the period, the amount of waste gradually
plummeted to half of the original figure in 2008.
Turning to burning refuse, there was a dramatic rise of approximately 400 million
tonnes in the period between 2005 and 2008. It increased by 100 million tonnes
every year and finally reached the peak of 1100 million tonnes, which was much
higher than other types.
In terms of dumping at sea, from 2005 to 2006, it experienced a slight growth and
then remained at 600 million tonnes in 2007. Ultimately, between 2007 and 2008,
the amount of dumping dropped marginally by around 50 million tonnes
ĐIỂM MẠNH

● Có overview rõ ràng.

● Nhận diện được xu hướng chính:

o Landfill giảm mạnh.

o Burning tăng đều.
o Sea dumping dao động nhẹ.

● Bố cục hợp lý.

● Chia đoạn theo từng phương pháp xử lý rác.

● Trình tự thời gian rõ ràng.

● Có nhiều từ vựng học thuật:

o significant decrease
o dramatic rise
o marginally
o dominated
o fluctuation

"constant fluctuation every year".

o article
o noun phrase
o collocation
o lựa chọn động từ

CÁCH CẢI THIỆN

● Kiểm tra số liệu kỹ hơn.

● Tránh dùng từ mạnh như:

o plummeted
o dramatic rise
khi số liệu không đủ lớn.

● Tập trung học collocation chuyên Task 1.

WRITING TASK 2:
In this day and age, there are still older generations who have traditional
perspectives about the way people live, think and behave. Otherwise, many people
regard it as an old-fashioned thought in modern society. In my view, I partly agree
with this opinion.
On the one hand, senior people believe in their deep-seated beliefs because those
were stemmed from a long cultivated process. It helps them avoid common
mistakes in daily life, like job choices, marriage and education. For example, a lot
of them claim that it is better to opt for 9-to-5 jobs to seek stable employment
rather than other freelance occupations. In the economic instability, creativity
pursuit often underrated and had a volatile income stream, which leads to being at
a disadvantage in the job market. Therefore, their thoughts may be beneficial for
people due to practical experiences and hands-on results.
On the other hand, deep-seated beliefs are ill-suited to contemporary
developments, when many things change including the way individuals think, do
and pursue. Nowadays, they prioritize individualism and flexibility over safety but
boredom. For example, young generations embrace calculated risky experiences in
the pursuit of novelty. In big firms, employers also encourage their employees’
creativity and cultivate innovation. As a result, traditional perspectives are not only
the constraints of obsolete conventions, but also hinder societal growth.
In conclusion, I believe that although traditional values always hold an important
place in day -to-day life, innovation and creativity is more prioritized in the new
eras. It also means that old thoughts are no longer suitable for modern development
where prefer value hands-on experiences over formal protocols.

o verb form
o article
o preposition
o word choice

CÁCH CẢI THIỆN

Để lên Band 6.5–7.0:

● Dùng ví dụ cụ thể hơn.

● Tránh các collocation không tự nhiên.
