1. Basic Difference (Time - Preposition Error)

Perfect या Present Perfect Continuous Tense आता है ।
2.​ Structure: \text{Present Perfect / Perfect Continuous} + \text{Since} + \text{Simple Past}
(Since के बाद वाला भाग Simple Past में और पहले वाला Present Perfect में रहे गा जब समय
बताया जाए।)
3.​ Since as Reason (क्योंकि/चँकि ू ): जब Since का प्रयोग कारण (Reason) बताने के लिए
Conjunction के रूप में होता है , तब यह Tense की इस शर्त से स्वतंत्र रहता है ।

Rule 4: Modal Verbs and Their Uses


1. General Rules for Modal Verbs
●​ Auxiliary Verbs: Modal verbs सहायिकी क्रिया (Auxiliary Verbs) की तरह काम करते हैं।
●​ Base Form (V_1): Modal verb के तरु ं त बाद हमेशा Verb की Base Form (V_1) आती है ।
●​ Structures:
○​ Active Voice: Modal + V_1
○​ Active Perfect: Modal + Have + V_3 (Has/Had नहीं आता)
○​ Passive Voice: Modal + Be + V_3
○​ Continuous: Modal + Be + V_{ing}

○​ Note: Modal के साथ Been/Being सीधे नहीं लगता और न ही Infinitive (to + V_1) आता है ।

2. Uses of Specific Modal Verbs


A. Will / Shall

●​ Normal Sentences: साधारण वाक्यों में 1^{st}, 2^{nd}, 3^{rd} सभी Persons के साथ Will/Shall
का प्रयोग कर सकते हैं।
●​ Interrogative Sentences (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य): केवल 1^{st} Person (I / We) के साथ Shall आता
है । 2^{nd} और 3^{rd} Person के साथ Will आता है ।
○​ Examples:
■​ He shall do the work. / You shall do the work. / We shall do the work.
(Normal sentences - Correct)
■​ Will he do the work? (3rd Person \rightarrow Will)
■​ Will you do the work? (2nd Person \rightarrow Will)
■​ Shall I do the work? (1st Person \rightarrow Shall)

B. Should / Must

●​ Should: Normal Advice (सामान्य सलाह) या Conditional Sentences में ।


●​ Must: Strong Advice (मजबत ू सलाह), Order (आदे श) या Inference / Conclusion (निष्कर्ष
निकालना) के लिए।
○​ Examples:
■​ I should do the work. (Normal advice)
■​ I must do the work. (Strong advice)
■​ Should he come, I will go. (Conditional - 'Should' यहाँ 'If' का काम कर रहा है )
■​ He ordered them that they must not make a noise. (Order के सेंस में )
■​ He has a big house, he must be rich. (Inference/Conclusion: उसके पास बड़ा
घर है , तो वो अमीर होना ही चाहिए)

C. Can / Could vs May / Might


●​ Can / Could: Ability (क्षमता) या Capability बताते हैं।
○​ Redundancy Rule: Can/Could के साथ able, capable, unable शब्दों का प्रयोग नहीं करते।
●​ May / Might: Possibility (संभावना), Purpose (उद्दे श्य), या Blessings बताने के लिए।
○​ Redundancy Rule: May/Might के साथ possibility, possible शब्दों का प्रयोग नहीं करते।
○​ Purpose Example: We eat so that we may live. (उद्दे श्य बताने के लिए)

D. Used to, Had better, Dare / Need

●​ Used to:
○​ Modal Verb के रूप में : \text{Used to} + V_1
○​ Adjective के रूप में : \text{be/is/am/are/was/were} + \text{used to} + \text{Gerund
