ASSIGNMENT 1: RESEARCH REPORT
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
In the digital era, Artificial intelligence (AI) has evolved from a mere science fiction
fantasy to a tangible reality that is revolutionising various aspects of our lives. In
the field of higher education, AI is playing a fundamental role in transforming the
way students learn and prepare for the future.
It is crucial for education to adjust to and adopt technological innovations in our
constantly changing society. AI has become a potent technology with great potential
to transform education, create new opportunities and improve students’ educational
experiences.
While the integration of AI in education brings numerous advantages, it also poses
challenges in supporting the unique aspects of this level of learning that students
need to be aware of.
There is a lot of information about AI and its ability to revolutionise education. In groups
of 4-6, conduct an investigation into the implementation, the benefits and the
challenges of AI experienced by students in the Faculty of Science at TUT.
N.B. This is a group assignment (4 to 6 group members) (No individual
assignments will be accepted)
REQUIRED:
Write a report on the above scenario observing the correct format as
discussed with and explained to you during lectures. Remember to include a
reference list in your assignment.
You need to include the following in your report:
A title
Terms of reference
Data collection methods/procedures:
o A literature review (compulsory)
o An interview (compulsory)
o A questionnaire/survey (compulsory)
At least six findings. (One should be a graphic representation)
Four conclusions
Four recommendations.
Signing off (All the group members must sign the report)

the 0% will be entered on ITS.
