Job Description: API Developer

Location: Kochi (Work from Office – 5 Days)


Reports To: Technical Program Managers

Overview

We are looking for an API Developer to design, build, and deliver secure, high-performance
APIs and microservices in cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver secure, high-performance APIs.


• Write reusable, testable, and standards-compliant code.
• Define scalable data models and logical designs.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Build prototypes/POCs to validate new approaches.
• Collaborate with frontend teams for seamless integration.
• Follow coding standards and review practices.
• Evaluate third-party tools and assess feasibility.
• Stay updated with emerging API technologies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of API/microservices development.


• Strong Java & Spring Boot development skills.
• Experience in RESTful API design/implementation.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, SOLID principles.
• Relational & NoSQL DB experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Docker & Kubernetes knowledge.
• TDD using JUnit or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Agile environment familiarity.

Nice to Have

• Airline/Aviation industry exposure.


• OpenAPI/Swagger knowledge.
• Experience with API management tools (Azure API Management, Kong, Apigee).
• [Link], GraphQL, gRPC familiarity.
• Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems/AI-ML apps.
• DDD familiarity.
• OAuth2.0/OpenID/SAML knowledge.
