1. Why are you looking to change jobs?

One of the main reason is that this position is remote, while right now I am working in an in-
office role. Especially during winter in Canada, commuting become very difficult because of
snow and weather, so having a remote position is something I value a lot.

Another reason is that I want to work with different companies and different type of products so
I can continue learning and improving my skills. I also want to move toward a better overall
compensation package compared to my current role.

2. What are your career goals? Objectives?

My main goal is to continue growing as a software engineer. I do not want to stay at the same
level for many years. I want to improve my technical skills, communication skills, and leadership
skills over time.

Eventually, I would like to take more responsibility, work more closely with products and
business decisions, and be in a position where I can guide projects and mentor other developers.

3. Do you have any banking or financial experience/trading/stock market?

I do have some experience in this area. Few years ago, I worked on a stock market related
application for a client called Forecasting Stock AI. I also have some experience working with the
Binance API.

Apart from that, I have worked on several projects involving payment systems, subscriptions, in-
app purchases, and different payment REST API integrations such as PayPal, Stripe, Razorpay,
and EasyPaisa, so I am familiar with handling financial related features securely.

4. How do you prioritize your work?

I usually prioritize work based on deadlines, business impact, and how much it affects users. For
example, if there is a bug that is causing users to leave the app or affecting the main
functionality, I will prioritize that first.

If the project is focused on revenue, then I will prioritize features that help the business make
money or improve conversion. I also like to break bigger tasks into smaller parts so I can manage
them more easily.

5. How do you deal with unexpected changes to deadlines?

I try to stay flexible. Sometimes unexpected things happen in projects, so I adjust my priorities
and focus on the most important tasks first.

If needed, I do not mind working late evenings or weekends to meet deadlines. Usually, if I work
extra hours or on weekends, then I balance it later by taking some time off or leaving early on
another day.
6. What qualities do you look for in a manager?

I like managers who communicate clearly and honestly. I prefer someone who is straightforward
and does not sugarcoat too much, but at the same time I do not like toxic environments.

I also appreciate managers who are approachable and easy to reach. Email is fine for normal
communication, but for urgent situations, I like when there is some faster communication
option like WhatsApp or phone.

7. What are your salary expectations?

For a full-time position, I would be looking for something around 120k or above because
currently I am already making close to 100k in my current role.

If budget is limited, I am also open to working on a contract basis. In that case, I would be
looking for around 55 to 60 dollars per hour for approximately 20 to 30 hours per week.

8. When are you available to start?

If this is a contract or part-time role, I can start almost immediately. I am available on Fridays,
Saturdays, and Sundays, and I can work flexible hours on those days.

For a full-time role, I would want to give my current company proper notice because I do not
want to leave them suddenly. Ideally, I would give them around two months so they have time
to find a replacement and I can hand everything over professionally.

I am not required to give them that much notice, but I would do it anyway because I want to
leave on good terms and be professional. Normally, I would give a two-week notice, but since
they do not have someone ready to replace me, I would prefer to give more time so I can
properly train the next person and hand everything over smoothly.

At the same time, I can still start helping part-time while serving my notice period, and then
move into a full-time role later if both sides are happy.

9. Work permit? Student Visa? Perm resident?

Currently, I am on maintained status and I am legally allowed to work full-time in Canada.

I already applied for my work permit back in September, and I am expecting it to arrive soon. I
am not sure about the exact timeline, but it could be within few weeks or maybe one to two
months.

Once approved, the work permit should be valid for at least three years, so there should not be
any issue with long-term work authorization.

10. Why do you think you are qualified for the job you are applying for?

I believe I am qualified because I already have experience with almost everything listed in the
job description, and in some areas I have experience beyond that as well.
Over the years, I have worked on mobile apps, backend systems, APIs, payment systems,
subscriptions, cloud services, and third-party integrations. I am also comfortable learning new
technologies quickly, so even if there is something new, I can usually pick it up fast.

I also have experience working directly with clients, understanding requirements, solving
problems, and delivering projects from start to finish.
