PROJECT STATUS UPDATE REPORT
Project Title: Operation Plastic-Free Bins: A 4-Week Homeroom Waste Segregation
Drive
Project Manager: Annabelle P. Albao
Overall Project Status: Second Week: On Track with Delays
1. Project Overview & Progress Summary
Target Timeframe: August 27, 2026 – August 24, 2026 (4 Weeks)
Primary Objective: Divert plastic and aluminum waste from school garbage bins
to establish proper segregation habits across classrooms.
Key Highlights:
Planning & Mobilization (Week 1): Successfully drafted contest mechanics,
secured Principal approval, and completed distribution of dedicated recycling
bins/sacks to all 48 participating classrooms.
Launch & Publicity (Week 2): Due to the Principal's scheduled absence, the
formal launch, originally planned for the week of July 27th, was rescheduled and
successfully executed on August 3rd during the flag ceremony. Digital guides
and leaderboard information are now available to all students.
Mitigation Strategy: Work Package 3 collection will be condensed to a dense 2-
week daily/bi-weekly schedule to meet the overall waste diversion target despite
the launch delay. Immediate updates to digital graphics and bulletin boards are
underway to build and maintain student momentum.
Why is this better?
