Assignment #01

Submitted by: Zanib Fatima

Submitted to: Dr. Amber Noreen
Subject: Data Analytics
Program: MBA
Semester# 1st
Industry: Consumer Satisfaction in Online Market
Competition

Question 1:

Which platform would you prefer for online shopping?

(Daraz, Amazon, Alibaba, eBay, Shopify)

Level of Measurement: Nominal

Related V of Data: Variety
Reason:
This question represents different categories of online shopping platforms without any ranking
order. Therefore, it is nominal. It reflects Variety from the 5Vs of Data, as it captures the
diversity of online platforms preferred by consumers.

Question 2:

How satisfied are you with the product quality?

(1 – Very Dissatisfied to 5 – Very Satisfied)

Level of Measurement: Ordinal (Numeric)

Related V of Data: Veracity
Reason:
Satisfaction levels are ranked in order, making the data ordinal. The numeric scale allows
customers to express their level of satisfaction, reflecting Veracity, as it helps assess the
reliability and truthfulness of consumer opinions about product quality.

Question 3:

How many times do you usually order products online in a month?

Level of Measurement: Ratio

Related V of Data: Volume
Reason:
This question measures a count with a true zero point (a person might place zero or several
orders). It represents Volume, indicating how much online shopping activity occurs and how
large the consumer base or transaction flow is.
Question 4:

How quickly are products updated on the platform according to trends, weather, or
circumstances?

Level of Measurement: Ratio

Related V of Data: Velocity
Reason:
This question measures the speed of updates and changes over time, which can be quantified. It
relates to Velocity from the 5Vs of Data, as it reflects how fast data or products are updated to
meet changing consumer demands.

Question 5:

How would you rate the delivery timing of your orders?

(Rate between 1–10)

Level of Measurement: Interval (Continuous)

Related V of Data: Value
Reason:
The 1–10 rating scale has equal intervals but no true zero, so it is interval data. It reflects
Value, as it helps determine how useful and efficient the platform’s delivery system is from the
customer’s perspective.
