Assignment: Video Project – Managing a Leisure or Recreational Activity in Morocco

For this assignment, you will work in small groups to create and film a leisure or
recreational activity that you will be involved in. The idea is to manage it like a real project
and then show, through your video, how it was planned, organized, and carried out. You
should also explain what this activity says about leisure and recreation in Morocco.

The goal is not only to show what you did but to tell a story through your film. Think of it
as a short movie that lasts between five and fifteen minutes. It should look natural and real,
not like a class presentation or a report. Avoid reading lines or looking directly at the
camera all the time. Let your video flow as if you were living the experience and letting us
see it.

You can choose any activity that makes sense in your context. It can be a group walk, a
hike, a yoga or sports activity, a music or art session, a beach game, or a traditional
Moroccan activity. It must be inclusive, safe, and respectful. Everyone in your group
should appear in the video at least once. The setting can be anywhere in Morocco: city,
countryside, coast, or mountains.

Your video should combine action and reflection. Show what happened and explain how
you made it happen. Include moments of preparation, organization, and teamwork, then the
activity itself, and finally your reflections afterward. Let it feel like a story from beginning
to end.

A good way to structure your film could be the following. Start with a short introduction
where you show who you are, what you decided to do, and why. Then show how you
planned the activity, where it took place, who did what, and what resources you needed.
After that, include the main part: the activity in action, the people, the energy, the problems
and how you solved them. Once it’s done, film your group discussing what went well and
what was difficult. You can use a simple SWOT reflection: strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities, and threats, or a Pestel Analysis. Finish with a short conclusion where each
member says what they learned, especially about leadership, teamwork, inclusion, and the
community.

Even though this is a creative film, it is still a management project. Try to use a few
managerial ideas and terms naturally in your explanations or dialogues: leadership,
teamwork, planning, organization, community engagement, inclusion, social impact,
sustainability. If you can, make a small link with the Sustainable Development Goals,
especially SDG 3 about health and well-being, SDG 10 about reducing inequalities, and
SDG 11 about building sustainable and inclusive communities.

The video should last between between 8 to 15 minutes. It must feel real, creative, and
human. Show that you can apply what you have learned about management in a real
situation and tell the story in your own voice.

For example, a group could organize a morning walk in Kenitra Forest to promote mental
and physical well-being. You could show short clips of the planning, then the walk itself,
and finally a few minutes where the group sits and talks about what they learned and what
could be improved next time. Keep it simple and genuine.
