Programme details:
Programme : Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH)

Curriculum : Veterinary Council of India-Minimum Standards for Veterinary Education 2016

Tenure : 5 ½ years, Five professional years, Fourth professional year is having 1 ½ year tenure
and Fifth professional year consist of one year internship programme.

Eligibility criteria:
Eligibility: A pass in two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of
Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other Examination recognized as equivalent
thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects mainly.
i) Physics
ii) Chemistry
iii) Biology
iv) English
A candidate under general category (including BCs) for admission to the [Link]. & A.H. degree
course must have passed in each of the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
and obtained 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects, at the qualifying examination. In
respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled and Persons with Disabilities
(PwD) (Differently abled) shall be 5% less than that prescribed for general category (i.e.
47.5%).

Age: He/she should have completed minimum age of 17 years and not crossed the maximum
age of 22 years as on the 31st December 2026 and maximum age shall be 25 years in respect
of Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes and 27 years for Physically Challenged candidates.

Criteria for Selection:


 The selection of candidates for all the seats shall be made based on ranks obtained by
the candidates in AP EAPCET 2026. The candidates will be selected based on merit,
presidential order, region and social status. State Level rank only will be considered.

Note : As per Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (52 of 1984) and VCI MSVE 2016 regulation,
any candidate suffering from the following disabilities shall not be allowed admission to
Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree course :-
a) disability of total body including disability of chest or spine more than 50%
b) disability of lower limb of more than 50%
c) disability of upper limb
d) visually handicapped candidates and those with hearing disability
e) candidates with progressive diseases like myopathies etc.
f) disabilities which otherwise would interfere in the performance of the duties of a
veterinarian

Allocation of seats in favour of Local candidates in relation to Local area

In accordance with the A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974,
amended time to time, read with section 95 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014
([Link].20, dated: 12.05.2025, Higher Education (EC) Department, Govt. of AP)

 15 % seats shall be Un-Reserved (UR) for candidates.


a) All candidates belonging to two local areas (AU & SVU),
b) Candidates who have resided in the State for a total period of ten years excluding
periods of study outside the State or either of whose parents have resided in the
State for ten years excluding period of employment outside the State;
c) Candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of this State
or Central Government / Public Sector Corporation Local Bodies, Universities and
other similar Quasi-public Institution within the State; and
d) Candidates who are spouses of those in the employment of the State or Central
Government Public Sector Corporation, Local Bodies, Universities and educational
institutions recognized by the Government or a University or Other competent
authority and similar other Quasi Government Institutions within the state.
 85% local seats, the seats shall be allocated in 65.62 : 34.38 ratio between Andhra
University area and Sri Venkateswara University area, respectively among the
candidates in relation to the local area.

Local status certificate: Candidate claiming local status in Andhra Pradesh (AU/SVU) by virtue
of his/her migration from the State of Telangana shall submit scanned copy of Local status
certificate issued by Tahsildar of concerned along with their application (as per
[Link].171, General Administration (SPF & MC) Department, dated 20-11-2017).

Reservation of Seats

Backward Classes (BC) : 29% of seats are reserved under this category.
(BC-A – 7% ; BC-B – 10% ; BC-C – 1% ; BC-D – 7% ; BC-E – 4%)

Scheduled Caste (SC) : 15% of seats reserved under this category.


(Group I – 1%; Group II – 6.5%; Group III – 7.5%)
Scheduled Caste are sub classified as per [Link]. 7 Dated: 18-04-2025, Social Welfare (CV)

Scheduled Tribe (ST) : 6%

Other Reservations (Special Categories):


a) Persons with Disabilities (PwD) … 5%

Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – 10% (supernumerary seats)

Reservation of seats for Women: 33⅓ % of the seats shall be reserved in favour of women
candidates from each category.

Reservation of seats for the candidates coming from families of Agriculturist cum Rural Area
(Farmers’ Quota):

 Twenty-five per cent (25%) of the seats in the SVVU are reserved for candidates
coming from families of Agriculturists (Farmers) owning not less than 1 (one) acre of
land either in the name of the parents or in the name of the candidates and who have
studied for a minimum of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas. If the land
is owned by grandfather, grandmother or guardian or any other relations is not
acceptable.
 Form - I: It is a proforma indicating the patta numbers and extent of land owned
by the candidate / parents duly certified by the Mandal Revenue Officer / Tahsildar
with office seal. Candidate must also upload land owned record - Adangal / 1B
from Meebhoomi Land records (or) Original Pattadar Passbook as evidence for the
extent of land owned.
 Form - II: It is a proforma to be certified by the Headmaster of the School with
office seal recently that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of four
years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from
1st class to 12th class / Intermediate (Non-Municipal Area Study Certificate).

 Duly filled Form - I and Form - II with the signatures of concerned officials viz., Mandal
Revenue Officer / Tahsildar and concerned Head of Institution respectively, along with
office seal need to be uploaded. Otherwise, the claim of the candidates under this
category will be summarily rejected.
Note: The candidates must attend for certificate verification in person on the date notified in the
University website. During certificate verification under farmer’s quota, the candidate must produce
uploaded original Form I, Form II, the original Pattadar Passbook or Adangal /1B from Mee-seva as
evidence for the extent of land and study certificates from the educational institutions studied as per
application registered.

Online Registration

Registration: The applicant must click on the link provided in the University website
[Link] for registration which will be redirected to APTonline website.
Login:
• No separate login is required for the candidates as the Registered Mobile number
and Hall Ticket would be authenticated for all services such as Registration, Grievance
requests, print payment receipt, etc.
• Applicants must complete their registration by verifying their data populated in the
application form and making payment.
• The candidates are informed to mention their personal mobile numbers but not the
mobile numbers of relatives, friends, net/online/Xerox centres etc. during online
registration.
• Candidates are required to read the Information Brochure thoroughly.

Registration Fee: The candidates must pay online registration fee of Rs.1,500/- (Rupees one
thousand five hundred only) for General Candidates (including BCs) and Rs.750/- (Rupees
seven hundred and fifty only) in case of SC, ST & Persons with Disabilities (PwD) (Differently
abled) candidates at the time of uploading online application before last date. The registration
fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Note : Processing charges & GST are to be paid by the candidate, as applicable. No request
to refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained under any
circumstances. If the amount is debited from the account and the transaction is
failed, the candidate is advised to wait until the amount is returned before
registering again. The applications without payment will stand rejected and no
correspondence on this account will be entertained.

Grievance Request:
• The Data/Information of all candidates has been considered from AP EAPCET 2026
examination as entered by the candidates and validated for AP EAPCET 2026
examination.
• If any candidate wants to edit or upload any document now in support of candidature,
the candidate must check the optional grievances and COMPLETE REGISTRATION
process.
• A registered candidate can edit or upload any certificate/ document by Applying from
"Grievance Request" and add/upload documents or Certificates in relevant fields and
THIS FACILITY can be AVAILED ONLY ONCE. All those uploaded documents will be
considered for further processing only subject to the verification by the competent
authorities.

Counselling
 Candidates are advised to keep visiting [Link] website and check their e-
mail/SMS regularly for latest updates and for schedule of Online counselling and
Mop-up counselling (Manual).

Allotment of seats during counselling process

 Counselling will be based on Merit in AP EAPCET 2026 duly following Presidential


Order & Rule of reservation including [Link]. 550, dated: 30.7.2001 as per the
Government orders time to time. The schedule for counselling will be notified later in
university website [Link].

Allotment of seats under special category seats: Seat allotment in these reservations shall
be done based on the priorities awarded to candidates in each category following certificate
verification and authentication by respective authorities as per the relevant G.O’s applicable
from time to time. NCC by NCC Directorate; Defence (CAP) by Sainik Welfare Department;
Scouts and Guides by Bharat Scouts and Guides; Games and Sports by Sports Authority of
Andhra Pradesh, Persons with Disabilities (PwD) (Differently abled) by Medical Authorities i.e.
Sadaram certificate and the rank in AP EAPCET 2026. Wards of candidates under CAP quota,
claiming Local Status are required to submit scanned copy of Local status certificate issued in
Form-III by concerned Tahsildar along with their application.
Note : The candidates under special categories must attend for certificate verification in
person on the date notified in the University website, if fails they will not be considered
under special category.

Stray Round: If any seats fall vacant after the completion of the admission process (i.e. Mopup
round) under the state quota or VCI quota, they will be filled through stray round, based on
the AP EAPCET merit, Presidential order and rule of reservation time to time. These details
will be notified on the university website. Candidates who have received admission up to
Mop-Up Round, regardless of their status whether joined in the college or obtained a seat but
did not join or joined the college but later cancelled the seat, will not be eligible for Stray
Round counselling.

Original certificates to be submitted & fee to be paid at allotted colleges

Originals certificates to be submitted: The candidates granted admission, should submit the following
certificates in Original at the time of admission
1. Pass Certificate-cum-Memorandum of Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying
examination (Intermediate)
2. Hall Ticket & Rank Card of AP EAPCET 2026
3. SSC or its equivalent examination Certificate
4. The Community Certificate in the case of candidates belonging to Backward Classes / Scheduled
Castes / Scheduled Tribes, signed by the competent authority / Latest EWS certificate for the
year 2026-27 (older certificates will summarily be rejected)
5. Bonafide Study certificates (6th class to Intermediate or its equivalent)
6. Residence Certificate, if necessary
7. Transfer Certificate from the College or School where the candidate last studied
8. Form I and Form II, with evidence of land owned: Adangal/ 1B (or) Copy of Original Pattadar
Passbook
9. In case of candidates under Special Categories (CAP / NCC / PwD / Sports & Games/Scouts and
guides) the original certificates issued by the competent authorities.
10. Medical Examination Certificate issued by a registered Medical Practitioner.
Fee to be paid: The candidates who are granted admission shall pay the following prescribed fees at
the time of joining the college and hostel.

Hostel facility: Hostel facility shall be provided subject to the availability of accommodation. Hostel
Establishment charges is Rs.725/- per month. The approximate mess bill per month will be around
Rs.3,500/- to Rs.4,500/-.

Seat cancellation:
• If the admitted candidate cancels his/her seat before the closure of admissions (i.e. prefixing
day of scheduled MopUp round counselling) for the Academic Year 2026-27, an amount of Rs.
5,500/- shall be collected as processing fee for General category (including BCs) and Rs.2,750/-
for SC/ST/PwD -. The remaining fees already paid during admission shall be refunded.
• If the admitted candidate cancels his/her seat after closure of admissions process (i.e. prefixing
day of scheduled MopUp round) for the AY 2026-27, the candidate forfeits the fees already paid
and in addition, he/she must pay an amount of Rs. 5,500/- towards Seat Cancellation fee for
General category (including BCs) and Rs.2,750/- for SC/ST/PwD -.

Important instructions:
• In the event of establishment of new colleges such seats will also be considered for
filling up through this notification only.
• Candidates are required to read the Information Brochure thoroughly before applying.
• Candidates who applied online and make payment within stipulated time are only
considered for admission process. Only online applications will be accepted, which is
hosted in [Link]. No application will be accepted in any other format and will be
summarily rejected.
• Mere registration for admission on website shall not automatically guarantee any seat
for admission.
• The particulars furnished by the applicant in the application form is final and the
applicants should therefore be very carefully in uploading / submitting the application
form online
• Request for change in any particulars once given in the application will not be
entertained.
• The final submission of online application form if incomplete such applications will
stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.
• Processing charges & GST are to be paid by the candidate, as applicable. No request
to refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained under any
circumstances. If the amount is debited from the account and the transaction is failed,
the candidate is advised to wait until the amount is returned before registering again.
The applications without payment will stand rejected and no correspondence on this
account will be entertained.

further information & updates and corrigendum if any. No separate intimation
regarding counselling will be sent to the candidates individually.
• Candidates under special categories shall have to attend for certificate verification in
person with relevant documents on the date notified in the University website, if fails
they will not be considered under special category.
• Candidates shall report for admission to the allotted college within the stipulated
period, if fails to report he / she lose his / her seat.
• Candidates who got admission before commencement of instructions (classes), shall
register to courses as per the academic calendar, if fails to register the courses his /
her admissions stand cancelled although reported to college and paid fee.
• Candidates who have received admission up to Mop-Up Round, regardless of their
status whether joined in the college or obtained a seat but did not join or joined the
college but later cancelled the seat, will not be eligible for Stray Round(s) counselling.
• The University is not responsible for the information provided in other websites.
 Candidates who got provisional admission will be governed by the rules, academic
regulations and code of conduct of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati.

 The admission stands cancelled as per the academic regulations in event of a) if a


candidate does not put up 75% of attendance in all the subjects in first year; b) if a
candidate detains in a professional year for three consecutive academic years; c) if a
candidate does not complete the course within nine academic year excluding
Internship; d) if a candidate discontinues for more than two academic years and
discontinuation allowed only once in entire period of study with one month prior
intimation to Associate Dean.
• In case, the information furnished, or the certificates uploaded by the candidates are
found to be false, the University will take appropriate action against the individuals
concerned and his/her application will be summarily rejected at any point of
counselling or seats will be cancelled after admission in the college.
 University reserves right to re-schedule / cancelled the admission process without
assigning any reasons.
 All disputes pertaining to the conduct of counselling and allotment of seats fall within
the jurisdiction of Amaravathi, Andhra Pradesh only. Further any issue arising out of
the counselling shall be entertained only when raised within 30 days from allotment of
seats. The information / documents regarding counselling shall be maintained for a
period of one year from the last round (Stray round).
