1. Ravi bought a pen for Rs. 50 and sold it to his friend for Rs. 60. Find the profit or loss.
2. Priya bought a notebook for Rs. 80 and sold it for Rs. 70 to her classmate. Find the
profit or loss.
3. A shopkeeper purchased a book for Rs. 120 and sold it for Rs. 150. Find the profit or
loss percentage.
4. Neha bought a bag for Rs. 200 and sold it for Rs. 180. Find the profit or loss
percentage.
5. A toy is purchased by Ankit for Rs. 90. He spends Rs. 10 on repairing it and sells it for
Rs. 120. Find the profit or loss.
6. A shirt costs Rs. 450. Anya spends Rs. 50 on washing and ironing and sells it for Rs.
520. Find the profit or loss.
SECTION: B
7. A table is bought for Rs. 750 and Rs. 50 is spent on polishing. It is sold for Rs. 900.
Find the profit or loss and its percentage.
8. A chair is purchased for Rs. 1200 and Rs. 100 is spent on repairs. It is sold for Rs.
1080. Find the profit or loss and its percentage.
9. A cycle costs Rs. 2500. Rs. 200 is spent on servicing it. It is sold for Rs. 2750. Find the
profit or loss and its percentage.
10. A watch is bought for Rs. 1800. Rs. 50 is spent on battery replacement. It is sold for
Rs. 1620. Find the profit or loss and its percentage.
11. A bag costs Rs. 600. Rs. 40 is spent on repairing it. If it is sold at a profit of 20%, find
the selling price.
12. A mobile phone costs Rs. 8000. Rs. 500 is spent on installation and accessories. It is
sold at a loss of 10%. Find the selling price.
