Setting: Abandoned Asylum
Plot:
A group of friends and livestreamers accepts their fans' challenge to explore a haunted asylum hidden in
the mountains in exchange for a large cash reward. They enter the asylum at midnight and split up to
explore different floors while livestreaming. Soon, they encounter strange voices, mysterious figures, and
supernatural events, causing some of their friends to disappear. Zianne and shan eventually escape and
return to the tent, unly to discover that troy is missing. As they drive away, they see a mysterious figure
watching from the asylum, and their livestream suddenly ends with "SIGNAL LOST".
SETTING
[The story takes place at an abandoned asylum hidden in the mountains and the surrounding forest. The
events happen around midnight while the group is livestreaming their exploration.]
SCENE 1 – THE CHALLENGE
[The stage is completely dark. Wind sounds play. After a few seconds, one flashlight turns on.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
For years, people have told stories about an abandoned asylum hidden deep in the mountains.
They say strange voices can be heard inside...
Lights turn on by themselves...
And anyone who enters after midnight may never return.
[The lights flicker twice.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
But for one group of friends...
It was just another video.
[Troy enters while holding a camera or phone. The others follow.]
TROY - Guys, our fans have been asking us to explore this place for weeks.
JOSHUA - And someone actually offered us money to do it!
SAMUEL - Wait… How much money?
TROY - Enough to make this trip worth it.
ERICA - Are we seriously doing this? It's midnight!
REME - That's exactly why we should do it!
CHEZEKA - You know this place is supposed to be haunted, right?
VELOS - That's what makes it interesting.
KATE - I don't know about this...
SHAN - We stay together. That's the rule.
ALAO - And we leave immediately if anything feels wrong.
TROY - Deal.
[Troy raises the camera.]
TROY - Alright, everyone. Cameras ready?
EVERYONE - Ready!
[Troy points the camera toward everyone.]
TROY - Three...Two...One...
EVERYONE - WE'RE LIVE!
[The lights suddenly turn off.]
[A loud wind sound plays.]
[The lights slowly turn back on.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
And so… The midnight visitors entered the abandoned asylum.
SCENE 2 – FIRST FLOOR: THE LIBRARY
[Dim lights turn on. Reme and Erica enter while holding flashlights.]
[Reme looks around curiously while Erica stays close to the exit.]
REME - Wow… Look at all these old books.
ERICA - This place hasn't been touched in years.
REME - Our viewers are going to love this.
ERICA - Let's record and leave. This place feels… wrong.
[Reme notices an old book inside an air vent.]
REME - Wait! There's a really old book inside the vent!
[Erica quickly grabs Reme's arm.]
ERICA - Reme! Don't touch it!
REME - Why not? Maybe there's something inside.
[Reme slowly reaches toward the book.]
[The lights flicker.]
[A cold wind sound plays.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
The moment Reme touched the book...
Something moved inside the darkness.
[A hand suddenly appears from behind the shelf or vent.]
REME - AHHH!! ERICA!! HELP!!
[Erica grabs Reme and pulls her away.]
ERICA - Hold on! I've got you!
[A loud sound comes from behind them.]
[Both girls freeze.]
[They slowly turn around.]
[Wenzy appears behind them and stands completely still.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
A figure stood behind them.
Silent.
Still.
Smiling.
REME - Who… Who are you?
[Wenzy slowly takes one step forward.]
[The lights suddenly turn off.]
[A scream is heard.]
[Silence.]
SCENE 3 – SECOND FLOOR: THE LABORATORY
[The lights slowly turn on.]
[Chezcka and Joshua enter the laboratory.]
CHEZEKA - This laboratory still has all the old equipment.
JOSHUA - Guys, look! There's a doll!
[Joshua picks up the doll.]
CHEZEKA - Joshua! Don't touch it!
JOSHUA - Relax! It's only a—
[The doll suddenly falls.]
[The lights flicker.]
JOSHUA - Uh… Did you see that?
CHEZEKA - We should leave. Now.
SAMANTHA – Narrator
The doll remained motionless.
Then...
its eyes slowly opened.
[A spotlight shines briefly on the doll.]
Joshua
Guys… This isn't funny.
[A strange sound plays.]
[Joshua slowly steps backward as if something is pulling him.]
Joshua - HELP!!
CHEZEKA - Joshua!!
[Chezcka reaches toward him.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
Chezcka tried to help him...
But the laboratory door suddenly slammed shut.
[LOUD BANG.]
CHEZEKA - Open! OPEN!!
[Chezcka pulls on the door.]
[Tables and chairs are moved slightly to make the room look disturbed.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
The furniture inside the room seemed to move by itself.
[Chairs scrape across the floor.]
CHEZEKA - Someone help us!!
[Soft footsteps begin.]
[Chezcka slowly turns around.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
Behind her...
footsteps slowly approached.
Closer…
Closer...
[The lights suddenly turn off.]
[Silence.]
SCENE 4 – THIRD FLOOR: THE OFFICE
[A dim light turns on.]
[Alao and Samuel enter the office.]
SAMUEL - This office is so creepy!
ALAO - Let's check these old files. Maybe we'll find something interesting.
[Samuel looks through the old papers.]
SAMUEL - Hey! I found something!
ALAO - What is it?
SAMUEL - I don't know. But look at the date.
[A loud knock comes from inside the cabinet.]
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
[Both freeze.]
SAMUEL - That wasn't me.
ALAO - I know.
[Another knock is heard.]
BANG!
SAMUEL - Maybe we should leave.
ALAO - Open it.
[They slowly approach the cabinet.]
[The lights flicker.]
[The cabinet door slowly opens.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
Inside… stood a pale figure.
It didn't move.
It didn't blink.
It simply smiled.
SAMUEL - RUN!!
ALAO - THIS WAY!!
[They run toward the hallway.]
[The lights suddenly turn off.]
[Camera static sound plays.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
Their cameras filled with static.
Their voices disappeared.
And the third floor became silent once again.
[Lights out.]
SCENE 5 – THE FOREST
[Dim blue or dark lights turn on.]
[Wind sounds play.]
[Kate and Veloso enter the forest area.]
Kate
Troy said we should stay near the tent.
VELOSO - We'll only look around for a minute. Come on.
KATE - I don't think we should.
VELOSO - The viewers are waiting.
[They slowly walk farther away from the tent.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
While the others explored the asylum...
Kate and Veloso wandered into the forest.
They didn't notice the figure watching them from between the trees.
[Wenzy briefly appears in the background.]
[The lights flicker.]
KATE - Veloso… Someone's following us.
VELOSO - There's nobody there.
KATE - I heard footsteps.
[Footsteps are heard.]
KATE - Did you hear that?!
[Kate suddenly trips.]
KATE - Veloso!! Help me!!
VELOSO - Kate!!
[Veloso runs toward her.]
[A shadow quickly crosses the stage.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
Before Veloso could reach her...
A shadow appeared.
[The lights turn off for a moment.]
[Kate disappears from the stage.]
VELOSO - Kate?! Where are you?!
SAMANTHA – Narrator
Veloso searched through the darkness.
But there was no answer.
Then...
the whisper returned.
[A soft whisper sound plays.]
VELOSO - Who's there?
[The lights flicker.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
He looked behind him...
And disappeared into the darkness.
[Lights out.]
SCENE 6 – FOURTH FLOOR: ROOM 402
[A single dim light turns on.]
[Zianne and Shan slowly enter.]
ZIANNE - Guys… This is the famous Room 402.
SHAN - Everyone online says this room is cursed.
ZIANNE - Do you think the stories are real?
SHAN - I hope not.
[A soft voice comes from inside the room.]
BONTILAO - Help… Help me… Please...
[Zianne and Shan freeze.]
ZIANNE - Did you hear that?
SHAN - Who's there?
[The door slowly opens.]
[Bontilao appears with their head lowered.]
BONTILAO - You… Need… To… RUN!!
[The lights suddenly flicker.]
ZIANNE - What?!
SHAN - RUN!!
[They turn and run.]
[A sound effect plays as something grabs Zianne's foot.]
ZIANNE - SHAN!! HELP ME!!
[Shan grabs Zianne's hand.]
SHAN - Don't let go! I've got you!
[Shan pulls Zianne free.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
They escaped the room...
And ran downstairs.
But neither of them noticed...
Something was following them.
[A shadow briefly appears behind them.]
[Lights out.]
FINAL SCENE – THE TENT
[The stage is dark.]
[Wind sounds play.]
[Shan and Zianne run onto the stage, breathing heavily.]
SHAN - Troy!! We're back!!
ZIANNE - Troy?! Where are you?
[They look around the tent.]
[A flashlight turns on.]
ZIANNE - Wait…What's that?
[They notice Troy's camera lying on the ground.]
[Static sound plays from the camera.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
The livestream was still running...
But Troy was nowhere to be found.
Only his broken camera remained.
SHAN - The car keys! We have to go!
[Shan finds the keys.]
ZIANNE - Hurry!! Drive!!
[They run toward the car.]
[A car-starting sound plays.]
[The lights flicker as if the car is driving away.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
The car sped away from the haunted asylum.
For a moment...
They thought they were finally safe.
[The stage becomes quiet.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
But as they looked back one last time...
[A single spotlight turns on at the back of the stage.]
[A mysterious figure stands in front of the asylum.]
SAMANTHA – Narrator
A lone figure stood in front of the asylum.
Watching.
Waiting.
Smiling.
[The figure slowly raises its head.]
[The livestream glitches.]
LIVESTREAM:
"SIGNAL LOST."
[The lights flicker once.]
[Everything suddenly turns black.]
BLACKOUT.
