Filming Guide: Work-Task Sample Clips
How to film a clip that gets accepted and paid. Read this before you record.
How you get paid
We pay for clips that hit the spec below. Clips that miss it aren't accepted, so quality directly
protects your pay. Watch the reference videos first.
Mount your phone (do this first)
The #1 thing we check is that the phone is mounted hands-free with a proper first-person
view , your hands clearly in shot.
● Mount at forehead / eye level, tilted DOWN so your whole hand (palm + all fingers)
shows while you work.
● Best: a head strap or cap mount. No rig? Clip or tape the phone to the brim of a cap
or a headband , anything stable and hands-free.
● Do not film handheld , it has to be mounted.
● Check your FOV (field of view) before a full take: your hands and the work area should
both sit clearly in frame. If you mostly see the wall, ceiling, or the floor ahead of you, tilt
the phone further down until your hands are centered. We do not want angles of your
face.
Camera settings (set these before you film)
● Use your WIDEST lens , the Ultra-wide / 0.5x camera. We need a wide field of view so
your hands and the whole work area fit in frame.
● Landscape orientation only → see the reference videos for inspiration
● Record at 1080p, 30 fps.
○ (On iPhone: Settings > Camera > Record Video > 1080p at 30 fps.
○ In that same menu, turn OFF "Auto Low Light FPS" so the frame rate stays
locked at 30.) 720p is the absolute minimum.
○ Use normal Video mode, not Slo-mo, Cinematic, or Time-lapse.
● Don't zoom. No filters or beauty mode.
● Good light , bright enough to clearly see your hands and what you're handling.
● Keep it steady , smooth, slow head movements. A snug mount does most of the work.
● Leave the sound ON. Audio isn't required, but if it records, keep it, don't mute your mic.
Test before your full take
Record a quick 15-second test clip, then watch it back: are your hands fully in frame the whole
time? Is it steady and bright? Compare your test clip with the reference videos.
What to film
A real hands-on task. Any of these count, but we highly prefer the non-household tasks.
● Household / home tasks: dishes, laundry, cooking, cleaning, tidying, organizing, yard
work
● Trades & repair: carpentry, welding, plumbing, electrical, tiling, painting, appliance /
vehicle repair
● Food prep: cooking / prepping in a kitchen, food stall, or restaurant
● Cleaning / housekeeping: homes, hotel rooms, offices, janitorial
● Retail / stocking / warehouse: unboxing, stocking, tagging, packing, goods-handling
● Farming / agriculture: planting, harvesting, sorting & packing produce, servicing
equipment
● Assembly / production / fabrication / crafts
NOT accepted: desk / screen / phone-only work, form-filling, or anything staged or
"demonstrated" for the camera. It has to be a real task at normal speed , real chores or real
work, just not faked.
What a great clip looks like
● One continuous take, 10 minutes minimum , aim for 20–30. One full task, start to
finish, no cuts, no chopping.
● Both hands in frame ~95% of the time, visible down to the forearm. Grab and
release objects in frame.
● Keep working , no pause longer than ~15 seconds, and keep total idle under ~10% of
the clip.
● Natural pace , real technique, no staging or faking the task.
● Only your hands in the shot. If a coworker or helper reaches in, pause or angle away,
other people's hands reduce what we can use.
● If the task needs gloves, thinner and lighter-colored gloves are best. Avoid bulky
gloves that hide your fingers.

● Device Eligibility
● Both hands in frame the whole time greater than 95% of the time
● Does the work involve a genuine, hands-on task performed at normal speed — making,
processing, building, repairing, servicing, or handling something physical?
● Phone was mounted, not handheld
● Ultra-wide (0.5x) lens, recording at 1080p
● One full task, one continuous take, 10 minutes or longer, no cuts
● Well lit and steady

How to submit
● Upload your clip to Google Drive (set to "anyone with the link can view"). Keep it as MP4
or MOV, whatever your phone records is fine (iPhone = .MOV, Android = .MP4), don't
convert it. Trim only the very start or end if needed, never cut the middle.
