Gaby: Hi Alex! I haven’t seen you since high school.
How have you been?
Alex: Hi Gaby! I’m doing great, how about you?
Gaby: I have been good. This past year I had to take a break from work as soon
as my baby was born and at the moment I’m studying. If all goes well, I’ll finish
my degree the next year.
Tell me, what’s up about you?
Alex: I’ve finally finished my degree, and I’m waiting to get my diploma this year. If
everything goes well, I’ll find a good job in a good school and maybe I’ll even
move to another city if I can’t find one here.
G: That’s great! Sometimes I think it would be amazing to work in other state or
maybe in other country. Have you ever thought about working in other country?
A: Yeah, I actually have. If I get the chance, I might apply for a job abroad. I think
it would be a great experience to live somewhere new.
G: Me too. I want to travel and learn another culture and another language once I
get work experience. For now, I’m going to work after I graduate.
A: That sounds like a good plan. If you keep learning and working hard, you’ll
have many opportunities in the future.
G: That’s right. You know, we have a lot to talk about, we should go out together.
Would you like to plan something for this weekend?
A: Yeah sure, I don’t have any plans yet. What do you have in mind?
G: Maybe we could go to that new restaurant downtown. If the weather is nice,
we might go for a walk afterwards.
A: Sounds great! I’ll check my schedule, but I think I’ll be free on Saturday evening.
G: Perfect! We’ll meet around 7 p.m. If you’re late, then I’ll waiting for you there
while I enjoy a glass of wine. Mmmm! .
A: Haha, I’ll try not to be! If everything goes as planned, I’ll see you on Saturday.
G: Great! I’ll really be looking forward to it. See you soon, Alex!
A: See you, Gaby! Take care!
