Read the following passage carefully, then answer the questions that follow it :
Scientists have discovered that a lot of illnesses and deaths are caused by germs. They
enter a person’s body through food and water, in the air we breathe or through contact
with an infected person Thankfully, we can fight germs both inside and outside our
bodies.
Germs can only be seen through a microscope. When germs enter our blood stream,
our body produces special white blood cells which attack and try to destroy the germs.
Often, in order to get well, we simply need to help our bodies to fight germs. We do this
by resting, drinking plenty of water or juice and eating nutritious food.
Fighting against germs takes a lot of energy. This is why we often feel tired when we
are sick. We should, of course, always ask a doctor for help and advice when we are ill.
