✦ ECHOES 2026 ✦
The Year We'll Never Forget
FAREWELL 2026 — OFFICIAL HOSTING SCRIPT
Hosts: Mohid Ayyan & Ashna Khan
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🎤 SEGMENT 1 — THE GRAND ENTRANCE (0:00 —
2:00)
Stage note: Lights dim. A single spotlight hits centre stage. Background music fades in — something
cinematic, building slowly. Both hosts walk out with full energy. Mohid leads. Ashna is right beside
him.
MOHID
"Ladies and gentlemen..."
"Respected teachers..."
"And the people who came because the invite said 'refreshments included'..."
(Pause. Let the crowd react. Smile.)
"WELCOME — to ECHOES 2026."
ASHNA
"Tonight is not just a farewell. Tonight is a moment. And moments like these...
they don't come with a second chance."
"So for the next few hours — you laugh harder, you clap louder, and you feel
everything."
(Soft music rises slightly)
MOHID
"Eleven years. Eleven years of confusion, sleep deprivation, WhatsApp group
chaos, and last minute assignments submitted at 11:59 PM."
"And yet... here you all are. Alive. Mostly thriving. Definitely surviving."
ASHNA
"We entered this school as strangers. Wide-eyed, a little scared, pretending we
knew where the bathrooms were."
"And today? Today we stand here as something far more complicated — and far
more beautiful."
"A family. A slightly dysfunctional, occasionally chaotic, always loud... family."
(Crowd reacts)
MOHID
"Now — full disclaimer. Ashna and I? We're 10th graders."
(Pause for dramatic effect)
"Yes. You heard that right. You trusted the fate of your most important night...
to people who haven't even done their FSc yet."
(Smile at Ashna)
ASHNA
"Which honestly? Makes total sense. Because who better to celebrate how far
you've come... than the people who are watching and taking notes."
(Nod to the 11th graders)
"We see you. We admire you. And lowkey... we're terrified of becoming you."
🎤 SEGMENT 2 — EMOTIONAL BUILD-UP (2:00 — 7:00)
Stage note: Music softens. Tone becomes warm and reflective. Both hosts slow down. This is the
part that makes people feel things.
MOHID
"Let's rewind for a second. Because every great story deserves to be told from
the beginning."
ASHNA
"Do you remember your first day? You walked in not knowing a single soul. Or
maybe you walked in with one friend and spent the whole day pretending you
weren't scared."
"You looked for a familiar face in every corridor. You memorized the timetable
wrong. You sat in the wrong class. Twice."
(Crowd laughs in recognition)
MOHID
"From that first day of confusion..."
"To group projects full of frustration..."
"To 8 AM classes full of... absolutely nothing. Because half of you were not
physically present, and the other half were not mentally present."
(Beat)
ASHNA
"You went from 'I don't know anyone here' to 'I literally cannot function without
these people.'"
"And that? That is not a small thing. That is everything."
MOHID
"We discovered that Google and ChatGPT are the real heroes behind good
grades..."
(Pause)
"That attendance is just a suggestion..."
(Pause)
"And that if you survive a Sir Riaz assignment deadline — you can survive
anything life throws at you."
ASHNA
"You shared victories... you shared failures... you shared secrets that should
NEVER leave this hall tonight."
(Look at crowd seriously, then break into a smile)
MOHID
"And sometimes... you shared nihari. After a math exam that shall not be
named. Together. Because some traumas are best processed over food."
(Knowing laughter from the crowd)
ASHNA
"And sometimes you bunked school — not for something dramatic — but for a
Layers cake. Because priorities, people."
(Crowd LOSES it)
MOHID
"That is the beauty of what you built here. It wasn't just a class. It was a
culture."
🎤 SEGMENT 3 — THE CLASS CHARACTERS (7:00 —
13:00)
Stage note: Energy lifts. This is the fun, personal, crowd-favourite segment. Deliver each one with
timing — pause after the name drops for the crowd to react.
MOHID
"Now. Every grade has its legends. And this batch? Oh, this batch came with
characters."
ASHNA
"Let's talk about Danyal Javed."
(Pause. Let his name land.)
"Danyal. The man. The myth. The guy who opens his mouth and suddenly
everyone in the room is ready to change the world."
MOHID
"You ever hear Danyal give a speech? It's not just words. It's an experience. It's
an awakening. By the end of it you're questioning your entire existence and also
somehow feeling incredibly motivated."
"Danyal bhai, seriously — politics, law, UN — wherever you end up — the world
is not ready."
(Applause)
ASHNA
"Then there is Inaya Waqar. The head girl. The icon. The one person who can
walk into any room and within five minutes everyone in it loves her."
MOHID
"How does she do it? We don't know. Scientists don't know. It's just Inaya.
Confident, composed, always charming — a born leader wrapped in absolute
grace."
"Ma'am, on behalf of the entire school — you wore that badge with honour."
(Warm applause)
ASHNA
"Fatima. Our forever CR."
(Pause)
"Grade 8 gave her a badge and it never quite came off. Four years later and if
something needs to be organised, someone needs to be reminded, or there's a
list being made — Fatima is already on it."
MOHID
"Fatima, you didn't just manage a class. You managed people. That is genuinely
a skill. Own it."
(Crowd claps)
ASHNA
"And then — Muneeb Hussain. Art representative. Tall. Broad. Walks into a
room and you think, okay, this guy is serious."
(Beat)
"And then he smiles and you realize — oh. Oh this is the softest person alive."
MOHID
"Muneeb bhai, you are built like a fortress but you have the heart of someone
who cries at sunsets. And we mean that as the highest possible compliment."
(Laughter and claps)
ASHNA
"Zee and Zaini. The twins. The duo. The pair that made everyone do a double
take every single time."
MOHID
"You know that feeling when you see one of them and you think you're fine, and
then you turn around and see the other one and your brain just — short
circuits?"
"Four years. It never got less confusing. And somehow that made every day
more entertaining."
(Crowd laughs)
ASHNA
"And finally — A section versus B section. The eternal rivalry. The debate that
has no winners and no end."
MOHID
"B wale will never admit A is better. A wale will never acknowledge B's
existence as valid competition."
(Both look at the crowd)
"Tonight — for one night only — can we all agree... that we're on the same
team?"
(Pause. Let it breathe.)
ASHNA
"Just tonight though. Tomorrow the rivalry resumes."
(Big laughter)
🎤 SEGMENT 4 — THE LEGENDS (TEACHER
APPRECIATION) (13:00 — 20:00)
Stage note: Tone is warm and respectful — roasts are soft, affectionate, never mean. Teachers are
present. Make them laugh WITH you, not at them.
MOHID
"Now. We can't stand here and celebrate this batch without acknowledging the
people who shaped them. Challenged them. Occasionally gave them a heart
attack."
"Our teachers."
ASHNA
"The legends. The guides. The ones who handed out deadlines like they were
giving out gifts."
MOHID
"Sir Riaz."
(Pause)
"Sir, there is a reason your name alone triggers a stress response. Not because
we don't respect you — we do, deeply — but because Sir, assignments... never
slept. Never rested. Never forgot."
ASHNA
"'Sir meri billi kha gayi.' Nahi mana. 'Sir I forgot.' Nahi mana. 'Sir, Allah ka
pakka wada, kal submit kar dun gi.' SIR. NAHI. MANA."
(Crowd loses it)
"Sir Riaz, your motto is simple: if it's not submitted, it's a crime. And somehow?
Because of that — we all actually learned."
(Genuine applause)
MOHID
"Ma'am Maidah. The queen. A true girls' girl. The teacher who made every
student feel seen."
"Ma'am, your love for chocolates and perfumes is so legendary... we're pretty
sure the cafeteria uncle has a special shelf reserved just in case you visit."
(Laughter)
"Ma'am — you are not just a teacher. You are the kind of person students
remember for life. And that means everything."
(Warm applause)
ASHNA
"Miss Kanwal. The students' favourite. The only teacher who can scold you and
somehow make you feel like you're being hugged at the same time."
"Miss Kanwal — you have a gift. You see the best in people even when they
don't see it in themselves. This batch is lucky to have had you."
(Applause)
🎤 TRANSITION — MA'AM MAIDAH'S SPEECH
Stage note: Both hosts step back gracefully. Introduce Ma'am Maidah with full warmth. This is her
moment — give it to her completely.
MOHID
"And now — a moment we've all been waiting for. Someone who doesn't just
talk about leadership — she lives it. Someone who has guided this batch with
patience, with passion, and with genuine love."
ASHNA
"Please welcome to the stage — our beloved Ma'am Maidah."
(Both hosts step aside. Applause. Ma'am Maidah takes the stage.)
— MA'AM MAIDAH'S SPEECH —
After her speech, both hosts return to stage.
MOHID
(Returning to stage after Ma'am's speech, with emotion)
"That... is why we do this. Ma'am, on behalf of every student in this room —
thank you. Genuinely. Thank you."
(A beat of genuine silence)
🎤 SEGMENT 5 — AUDIENCE INTERACTION & HYPE
(POST-SPEECH — 28:00)
Stage note: ENERGY UP. Music comes back. This is where the room explodes. Mohid leads the
crowd calls. Ashna hypes from the side.
MOHID
"Okay. Okay. Now — we need to check something."
"Scream — right now, as loud as you can — if you have EVER bunked a class."
(Crowd screams)
ASHNA
"SCREAM if you have ever copied an assignment. Even once. Even a little bit."
(Crowd screams LOUDER)
MOHID
"SCREAM — if you passed a test you were absolutely, completely, 100% not
prepared for."
(The hall nearly collapses)
ASHNA
"See? This is unity. This is connection. This is — academically questionable
behaviour — but it is OURS."
MOHID
"Late coming excuses — who had 'traffic tha?' Say it!"
(Crowd responds)
"'Bus late thi?' — who?"
(More hands)
"And my personal favourite — 'Miss... I was on my way... internally.'"
(Full crowd laughter)
🎤 CLOSING — HANDOVER TO THE NIGHT (28:00 —
30:00)
Stage note: Music shifts to something cinematic and emotional. Both hosts slow down. This is the
final moment before the event begins properly. Make it land.
ASHNA
"Behind every joke we made tonight... there is truth."
"Behind every laugh... there is a memory. A real one. One that lives somewhere
between a classroom and a corridor and a shared moment you didn't even know
you were going to remember."
MOHID
"These years... they won't come back. These people... they won't all gather like
this again. Not exactly like this. Not in this room. Not at this moment."
(Let it breathe)
ASHNA
"So tonight — laugh louder than you normally would. Hug longer than feels
comfortable. Take the photo. Say the thing you've been meaning to say."
"Because tonight is yours. And it is beautiful."
MOHID
(Building energy, voice rising)
"So with hearts full of pride..."
"Eyes full of dreams..."
"And memories full of beautiful, glorious chaos..."
ASHNA & MOHID — TOGETHER
"Welcome — to ECHOES 2026. The Year We'll Never Forget."
(MUSIC DROPS. LIGHTS FULL. CROWD GOES.)
