Step-by-Step Workflow Guide
This layout bridges studio precision with instant, hands-on live performance. Here is exactly how
you connect and play the system in real time:
Step 1: Establish the Studio Clock Foundation
1. Patch the Clock Out from your Cre8audio NiftyCASE into the input of the Doepfer A-
160-2 Clock Divider.
2. Patch the /1 (normal speed) output of the Clock Divider into the clock input of the
ALM ASQ-1.
3. Patch the /4 (quarter-speed) output of the Clock Divider into the clock input of the
Malekko Varigate 4+.
• Result: Your sequencers are perfectly synced. The ASQ-1 will run fast for snappy
melodies, while the Varigate 4+ runs slow to create a long, evolving structural pattern.
Step 2: Route the Dual-Voice Melodies
1. Patch CV Out 1 & Gate Out 1 from the ASQ-1 keyboard into the Pitch and Gate inputs
of your main Doepfer A-111-6 analog voice.
2. Patch CV Out 2 & Gate Out 2 from the Varigate 4+ faders into the Pitch and Trigger
inputs of the Erica Synths Pico Voice.
• Result: You now have two completely independent musical parts running at the same
time.
Step 3: Real-Time Wave Warping
1. Instead of running the Doepfer A-111-6 straight to the mixer, take its raw VCO Output
(Saw or Triangle) and patch it into the input of the Doepfer A-137-1 Wave Multiplier.
2. Take the output of the Wave Multiplier and patch it back into the Doepfer voice's filter
input.
• Real-Time Play: As the sequence loops, manually turn the Folding and Harmonics
knobs on the A-137-1. You will hear a simple, smooth analog bassline instantly morph

Step 4: Add Movement and Stereo Luxury
1. Send the final audio outputs of both the Doepfer voice and the Pico Voice into Channels
1 and 2 of the ALM MFD Mixer. Use the knobs to pan the analog voice slightly left and
the digital voice slightly right.
2. Route the stereo output of the mixer into the Happy Nerding FX AID XL.
3. Patch an unused fader output from your Varigate 4+ into the CV input of the FX AID
XL assigned to "Reverb Decay."
