USEFUL EXPRESSIONS.
1. If I were to choose between… (si tuviera que elegir… fijate el uso de were + infinitive)
2. The more you practise, the better the results will be (usar esta estructura paralela)
3. Usar linkers de adición y de contraste.
Addition linkers= what is more, moreover, besides, apart from that.
Contrast linkers= However, On the other hand, whereas=while
4. Usar la estructura
Get used to + ing= acostumbrarse a algo
Be used to + ing= estar acostumbrado a algo.
5. Usar
I wish I could play the guitar (cuando preguntan qué habilidad quisiera tener)
Como estas estructuras no se parecen a las del español, suman más puntos.
6. Si se puede usar el pre. Perfecto continuo, suma mucho.
Lately, I ´ve been reading a lot…etc.
7. Para empezar a contar una película o una anécdota, empezar siempre con el pasado
continuo y después seguir la secuencia con el pasado simple. Si se puede incluír un pasado
perfecto después de “remember, because o realise”
8. Usar compound adjectives para describir la personalidad de alguien, suma.
Easy-going, two-faced; tight-fisted; hard-working; self-confident; self-serving (=interesado);
Laid-back (relaxed) etc.
