LEAD CHARACTERS

Angie: The female protagonist who experiences a "time slip" or

flashback to 2019. In the original timeline, she is a
struggling mother in a somber, cramped home, but in the new
timeline, she returns into the past as a student trying to
change her future.

Richard: The male protagonist and Angie's partner in the

original timeline. An alcoholic husband in the original
timeline but in the second one he vows to never let the
original timeline happen.

Owen: A bright, wealthy, and handsome student who has a crush

on Angie. He serves as Angie’s primary love interest and
support system in the second timeline.

Lyka: A student who is the object of Richard’s affection and a

rival to Angie. She is often accompanied by "minions" and is
obsessed with Owen.

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS

Mama (Angie’s Mother): Appears in the 2019 timeline; she is

strict about Angie’s studies but is ultimately a figure of
comfort for Angie, who is relieved to see her alive.

The Three Best Friends (BSF 1, 2, & 3): A comedic trio that
appears throughout the play in various interludes. Their
ongoing subplot involves getting lost while searching for a
"hidden café" using a map they cannot read properly.

Richard’s Friends (Friend 1, 2, & 3): A group of students who

tease Richard about his "crush" and discuss exam scores in the
hallway.

Teacher: Appears in the classroom during exams and later gives

the main characters detention after a fight breaks out.

Doctor: Appears in a flashback scene to deliver the somber

news to Richard that Angie fell and had a miscarriage.
CAMEO & MISCELLANEOUS ROLES

Elsa: A character from a role-play advertisement/intermission

and encounters the three best friends in a "Tundra" setting.

Fabela & Lyka’s Minions: Mentioned as students in the hallway

or as participants in the physical altercation with Angie.

Person 1, 2, & 3: Students in the hallway who gossip about

Owen’s high exam score of 720.

Linda Walker: A student known for her academic strength who

makes a brief, dramatic appearance when she hears someone beat
her exam score.
SCENE 1:
SETTING
A cramped one-room style house, with dilapidated walls and
furniture. The atmosphere is somber, as Angie was cleaning, she
saw a worn-out box filled with old things she once cherished, and
a baby’s loud cries echoes in the background.

Angie: (When she heard the baby cry, she placed the box aside to
comfort her child.)
shhh… (comforted the bebeh, gi uyog-uyog)
Richard: (Enters the house and made his way to the dining area.)
Angie, unsay sud-an.
Angie: Unsay sud-an Richard? wala man ka naghatag sa pangpalit sa
sud-an. Wala nagani pampalit sa gatas sa bata, ag pangita pa ka
sa sud-an?
Richard: Wala nalang lugar ka nangita sa paagi?
Angie: Ako na gani gapanghinlo, ako nag ani gabantay sa bata. Ako
pa lugar magpangita sa sud-an? Di ba trabaho nimo na?
Richard: (Slams the table)Kabalo man ka nga nawad-an ko sa
trabaho! Gutoman ta pirme sa imong kalaki!
Angie: Sala na ko na?! SALA NAKO NA?! Kung nangita diay kag lain
nga trabaho kaysa mag inom-inom ka sa gawas. Kita nga galisud na
ato kahimtang ag hubog-hubog pa ka!
Richard: Paghilom! Paghilom!! PAGHILOM!!(Flips the table and
walks out)
Angie: (The baby’s cries intensifies. She comforts her child
while crying. As the baby quieted down, she carefully placed the
baby on the bed and sat down beside him. Then, she noticed the
box she placed earlier and opened it. There she saw her old
diary; she wiped her tears and read it.)
Angie’s Monologue: August 26, 2018. Dear diary, nahagbong ko sa
kanal today, Naay nakakita sa ako ug gitabangan ko niya, iya
ngalan kay Richard.
December 25, 2018. Nag exchange gift mi ni Richard kamulo sa amo
date, gitagaan ko niya sa kwintas ug teddy bear. (gihawiran niya
iyang kwintas)
July 18, 2019. Dear Diary, Final exam namo karun unta makapasa
ko. Kaganina sa library nay lalaki nga nag confess sa ako, bright
siya, gwapo, buotan ug nay kwarta, pero si Richard lang gyud ang
para sa ako…
(Slams the diary close, nagtanga ug nagregret, then natulog)

OPEN CURTAIN
(Angie’s Old Room)
Mama: ANGIE!! Ag udto na, dli pa ka agbangon? Diba exam Ninyo
karun?! Pagtindog na dha babae!
Angie: (groans) ohhh… (sits up abruptly) Ma?? MA?? (Angie runs
the other curtain opens revealing the kitchen. Angie runs and
hugs her mother.)
MAAAAAA!!! Naa lagi ka diri… buhi pa lagi ka!!!
Mama: Hah?! Excited na ka mawala ko? I’m still young and
beautiful. Pagtarong diha basin masagpa tika. (pats her head)
Naunsa diay ka, nasobraan kag study ba?
Angie: Mama… mamati na gyud ko nimo, magbinuotan na gyud ko ug
dili nako mag kiat-kiat.
Mama: Hoy kurdapia, na ino ka ay, pagkaon na diha nabuang na mani
siya uy.
Angie: (nag ingkod ug nag kaon, stops eating and looks at her
mother)
Ma unsay date karun?
Mama: July 18, 2019, inyo baya exam karun.
Angie: (natuk-an and coughs violently) 2019??!!!!

(Bells rings as the curtain opens)
Richard’s friend woke him up

Friend 2: Nabilar ni study ba
Friend 3: Ga study ba diay na siya, nabilar man galing na siya
kay naa siyay kachat.
(Richard’s friends teases him)

(The classroom was filled with the sound of flipping pages.
Suddenly, Owen stood and passed his paper to the teacher.
Students murmured withing themselves.)
Friend 2: Hala… humana siya?
Friend 3: Paspasa gyud niya mahuman uy
Friend 1: Bright man gyud sad na siya.
Teacher: Nag unsa naman mo dha nag sturya-sturya naman lagi mo?

Scene 5: Hallway
The four friends were chatting in the hallway and they overheard
two students.
(Naglabay si Fabela)

Person 2: I heard, iyang score is 720 sa exam!
Person 3: HAH?! Nalumbaan niya si Linda Walker!!
(Naggawas si Linda Walker sa curtains)
Linda Walker: Hah?! Nalumbaan ko?! Dili ni pwede Ako si Linda

Ipapakita ko sa iyo ang lakas ng estudyante walang tigil, sa pag-
aral at sa pag-memorya. Galing ako sa Brookshire.
(nagsulod balik sa curtains)
Friend 1: Hala 720?? Diba 50 items ra man to atung exam?
Friend 2: Unsay 50 item?! Nga 720 man to
Friend 1: 50 ra man to sa akong test paper
Friend 3: Pagtarung dha wala ka nag check sa likod?
Friend 1: HALUHHH!!!! Bagsak na kooo!
Richard: Buang2 mani nga bata oh.
(naglabay si lyka with his minions)
Friend 2: Luh imo crush oh, Uy lyka-
Richard: (elbowed his friend) Paghilom dha

Lyka: (Lyka ignores him and walks away)

Scene 6: Library
Angie was studying at the library, but she couldn't shake the
feeling that someone was watching her. She looked up and caught a
guy staring right at her from across the table. She just ignored
him and went back to her notes.
After a while, she stood up to find a book. She finally spotted
it on a high shelf, but no matter how much she reached, she
couldn't grab it. Suddenly, a hand reached over her head and
plucked a book off the shelf.
Owen: Mao ni imo gusto…? How to train your goldfish?
Angie: Dili kana, kato oh! (Pointed at the book next to it)
Owen: Ahh… kani?
Angie: Oo… Thank you
(As Angie walks back to her table, Owen calls her)
Owen: Free ka unya?
Angie: Baman ay
Owen: Laag ta.
Angie: Dili ka ag study? Abi nako study first ka
Owen: Dili man study akong first… ikaw man.
Angie: Hilom diha mura man ka sa naay gamay uy.
Owen: Laag ta unya hah? Didto sa park magkita (as he was ready to
leave)
Angie: Bahala ka diha
Owen: Hulatan tika didto 5pm (as he walks away)
Angie: Pilingon ba dadto niya uy, nag ingon ba diay ko oo wala
man, susss assuming. Dli ko mag adto. (Rolls her eyes)
Pero… diba siya tung nakacrush sa ako sa una? Wala nako siya gi
balibali noh kay si Richard man ako gusto…

(Nag make-up2 si Lyka, Richard approached her and gave her
snacks)
Richard: Lyka oh
Lyka: hah?

Richard: (sat down beside her)
Owen passed by and Lyka was staring at him.
Richard: si Owen oh, kinsa gihulatan ana niya?
Lyka: dba ga study siya ani nga time?
Richard: kabalo lagi ka?
Lyka: Ah- obvious naman sad dba?
Richard: ah… ok
(Angie suddenly passed by approaching owen)

Both Richard and Lyka were staring intensely at Angie, Owen was
unaware of the tension. Some people the suddenly approached them.
BSF 2: Ay excuse me… kabalo mo asa ning (insert name) Café? Ingon
man gyud ang map nga naa diri nga area…
Owen: Hah? Asa deh… bali man ni inyo map
BSF 2: ehh?!
BSf 1: (gipakong ang ulo ni BSF 2) saway2 ka pa nako nga dli ko

Lyka: Did you know that kabalo na ang whole school nga ako siya?

(Before Angie could take a step Lyka suddenly pulled her hair,
then a fight broke. Lyka’s minions joined the fight.)
(While they were fighting Owen and Richard pulled them away)
(A teacher came and scolded them, the minions ran)
Teacher: What in the world are you all doing?! Detention to all

Angie lies in the hospital bed as nurses and doctors help her.

out

Doctor: Your wife lost a lot of blood, but she’s now stable and
will go on to recover
Richard: (sigh of relief) Ang baby doc?
Doctor: Its hard for me to say this but the baby didn’t make it
Mr. Gayas.
Richard: Unsa doc?
Doctor: We determined the cost and it because sa pagkahagbong and
the baby didn’t make it. I’m sorry for your loss sir.
(Richard stood there staring blankly at the audience, a tear un
down his cheeks and turned to walk away)

Ubos sa stage naa si Owen nag hulat2 kang Angie. Nag gawas fayun
si Angie nga na hilak, gi hug dayun niya si Owen
Owen: Uyy ok ka ra? Unsay nahtabo?
Naa dayun si Rihaard nag eye to eye sila
Owen: Ta balhin, sa lain tamag istorya (nag lakaw)
Nag adto dayun si Richard sa tunga and naa dayun si Lyka

Richard: Game (nag lakaw dayun sila)

Angie and Richard dawning their formal uniforms from their
respective successful jobs seemed so busy they couldn’t give
attention to their surroundings

As they were walking they bumped into each other and their things
fell. (Music grows louder)
They picked their things up and simultaneously stood up.
(Music grows faint)
Richard: Angie, long time no see (smile)
Angie: Yeah, it’s been a long time Richard, Kamusta naka?
Richard: Im fine actua-
Owen: Babe! Ali na ma late ta sa check-up appointment ni Baby!!
Richard: You should go
Angie: Yeah I should, it was nice seing you Richard. Really
(Leaves with Owen)
Richard stays in the center of the stage, Lyka then comes in
Lyka: Hun! Unsa diay imo ipangutana sa ako? Baman ag anhi pako
dire? Sa phone nlang diay?
Richard: Lyka my honybunchsugarplum, (bends on one knee) will you
make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?
Lyka: (Cover sa mouth, surprised) OMG1! YES YES YES!!
Gi suot ni Richard ang ring sa finger ni Lyka, lyka jumps from
happiness while hugging Rihard.
