1 Abstract
The parameter settings of the FC module device can be roughly divided into the following two types:
(1) The parameter setting between the FC device and the host controller communication port.
(2) Device parameter information setting of FC module and master controller.
The following sections will demonstrate how to set the relevant parameters through the HMI provided by
the master controller.

• When installing or wiring, you must ensure that all external power supplies are turned off. If
all power are not turned off may result in electric shock to the user or damage to the
product.

• Be sure to ground the FG and GND terminals with a protective earth conductor. Fail to do so
may result in electric shock or operation errors.
• When wiring, check the rated voltage and terminal configuration as defined by the product
specifications to ensure proper safety wiring. Connecting a power supply that does not
match the power voltage or incorrect product safety wiring may result in a fire or damage.
• External wiring configurations should use special tools for side bending, gluing and proper
soldering. Poor wiring configurations can cause short circuits, fires, or operation errors.
• Tighten the terminal screws to the specified torque. If the terminal screws are loose, it may
cause a short circuit, fire, or operation error. However, if the terminal screws are too tight,
the screws and modules may be damaged, drop, short circuit, or malfunction.
• It must be ensured that there are no foreign matters such as iron filings or wiring residues in
each module. These foreign matters may cause fire, damage, or operational errors.
After the power module and the function module are installed, the wiring of each function module can be
performed. In order to confirm the operation safety, when connecting the power cable, please ensure to operate
while power off. The signal cables can be connected to components such as switches and motors according to
the user's requirement for the operation simulation. The general structure is as follows:

FC-IO Introduction
Syntec Technology introduced the FC Series modules with high-performance, user-friendly, high-speed
communication and integrated digital I/O modules. A range of high-performance, low-cost modular I/O modules
are available, along with a Syntec Technology of full-scale controllers to provide the most cost-effective
integration solution in the automation market. Each module can be independently disassembled, and the type
and number of modules can be flexibly configured according to the needs of the user. In terms of the order of
the modules, the modules can be placed according to the user's wiring requirements. Moreover, each function
module can be repaired and replaced separately.
FC module is an easy to use solution, whenever you power on the FC module, the system automatically scan
all connected devices, and users can use them directly without any further settings. If the actual module
configuration is different from the controller settings, system will proactively inform users. Various FC function
modules can be used as the main module as long as they are placed on the right side of the power module.
Therefore, unlike the general-purpose products an additional CPU module is required in addition to the function
modules.
The FC modules communicate directly with the controller via SRI (Syntec Remote Interface) high-speed serial
communication interface, enabling efficient transmission and high integration between the FC module and the
controller. Therefore, the user is provided with a more flexible system expansion structure, which does not
cause inconvenience to the user in constructing the system and operation due to problems such as excessive

FC-IO Module Application Manual
The contents of this chapter mainly explain the overall structure of the FC series modules, including the
relationship between the controllers of the FC series modules and the FC series modules. Below outlines are
used to introduce this structure main points:
1. FC Series Structure Scheme:
• The FC series modules can be divided into power modules and function modules, and the
function modules refer to modules with specific functions, such as digital input and output,
analog output modules.
• The FC module consists of one power module and other functional modules (up to 16). The
schematic diagram is as follows.
• The communication structure is divided into two parts: the controller to FC Power Module and
FC main module to Sub-module in same station. To distinguish, the former is called SRI (Syntec
Remote Interface), the latter is called SBus communication.
• Each module is connected to each other through a connector on the side to perform
communication with the SBus. The controller is connected to other functional modules through
an internal communication connector located on the power module for SRI communication.
• Various FC function modules can be used as long as they are connected in series, so unlike the
general commercial products in addition to the function modules an additional CPU module is
required.

one set of digital input signals, then only one power module and one set of
digital input module are needed. The module is shown below.
If there are more FC function module requirements, just add the function
module to the right side of the module, as shown below. (Please refer to

FC-IO Troubleshooting
Please pay attention to the following when performing the inspections. Incorrect or inadvertent operation
may cause injury to personnel and equipment.
● Make sure the surrounding environment is not exposed to corrosive substances (i.e. chloride and sulfide
gases) and flammable substances (i.e. oil mist and cutting powder) or dust accumulation, to avoid FC module
failure or fire.

● Do not touch the terminals to avoid oxidation of the terminals or electric shock.
● Please turn off the external power supply before disassembling the terminals or screws to avoid electric
shock.
● It is forbidden to apply weight, pull or clamp the cable to avoid damage to the cable or terminals loosen
and electrification.
● Please confirm that the input voltage is within the rated range.
● Do not disassemble or modify the FC module or repair it yourself. It may caused in product malfunction,
fire, or personal injury.
● Before touching the module, touch the grounded metal or wear an anti-static wrist strap to release static
electricity from the human body to avoid damage to the module.
● When using a mobile phone or communication device, keep an appropriate distance to avoid interference
with the system and cause malfunction.
● Avoid installing FC modules in direct sunlight or humid environments.
● Make sure that the FC module is kept at an appropriate distance from the heat source such as the coil,
heater, and resistor to avoid overheat.
● Please set the emergency power-off system and over-current protection device according to actual
application to protect the FC module.
● Repeatedly plugging and unplugging of the module may result in the poor contact of internal
communication slot between the modules.
● Please confirm the stability of the installation during operation and maintenance to avoid damage to the
FC module caused by unintended vibration.
Basic Inspection
This chapter describes the various types of malfunctions that can occur while the system is running, and their
causes and solutions. To troubleshoot, you must first confirm the cause of the malfunction. Please confirm the
following items before judging the cause of the malfunction.
Check the following items:
• The FC module system must operate under regulated conditions (including environmental, electrical,
mechanical shock, etc.).
• The power of the device is properly connected, and the power input to the FC module system is normally
turned on (the power indicator on the module lights up in yellow).
• Modules, terminals, rails and cables are properly installed.
• The display lights of each module are in normal state. (P power indicator, R operation indicator, 24V
indicator of DO module, signal indicator of DI / DO module)
In order to maintain the normal operation of the FC module, after confirmed the surrounding environment
and FC module listed in above the precautions, follow below inspection items to inspect the system. If
there is any abnormality, please follow the Chapter 5 - Troubleshooting Procedure for immediate
maintenance.
