Cs Resp 006 Pneumonia Patho Chart 1

Pneumonia is an inflammatory lung condition affecting the alveoli, caused by infectious or noninfectious agents, with symptoms including fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Assessment findings include crackles, increased sputum, and low oxygen saturation, while diagnostics involve chest x-rays and sputum cultures. Nursing priorities focus on optimizing activity, ensuring airway clearance, and promoting gas exchange, with therapeutic management including oxygen administration and medication therapy such as antibiotics and bronchodilators.
