It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our XMUN-3.0 as the Journalist Head.
Journalism is more than reporting events. It is about observing with curiosity, presenting facts
with honesty, and telling stories that capture the true spirit of the conference. Every debate,
negotiation, and resolution deserves to be documented with accuracy, fairness, and integrity.
To my fellow journalists, I encourage you to ask insightful questions, think critically, and
uphold the ethics of responsible journalism. Your work will preserve the moments that define
this conference and ensure every voice is heard.
To all delegates, I wish you productive discussions, meaningful collaboration, and an
enriching MUN experience. May this conference inspire leadership, diplomacy, and informed

About the International Press
The International Press (IP) serves as the official media body of the Model United Nations
conference. While delegates engage in diplomacy, negotiations, and policy-making, the
International Press documents these proceedings, ensuring that the conference's most
significant moments are accurately recorded and communicated.
Unlike delegates, members of the International Press do not represent a country or vote on
resolutions. Instead, they act as impartial observers, reporting on committee proceedings
through news articles, interviews, editorials, photography, and caricatures. Their
responsibility is to present factual, balanced, and engaging coverage while upholding the
principles of ethical journalism.
The International Press comprises Journalists, Photographers, and Caricaturists, each
contributing uniquely to documenting the conference. Journalists capture debates and
interview delegates, photographers preserve defining moments through visual storytelling,
and caricaturists use satire and illustration to reflect the spirit of the conference in a creative
yet respectful manner.
Members of the International Press are expected to maintain accuracy, neutrality, integrity,
professionalism, and respect for all participants. Every report, photograph, or illustration
should reflect the highest standards of journalistic ethics, ensuring that the conference's
legacy is preserved with credibility and authenticity.
At its core, the International Press is more than a reporting body; it is the voice and historical
record of the conference. By documenting debates, highlighting achievements, and capturing
moments of diplomacy, the International Press ensures that the story of the MUN lives on
long after the final committee session concludes.
Committee Briefs
United Nations Security Council (UNSC)
Agenda: Regulating Emerging Security Threats: Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems, AI
in Target Identification, and the Prevention of Illicit Nuclear Proliferation.
Background
The UNSC will examine the rapidly evolving security landscape shaped by artificial
intelligence, autonomous weapons, and nuclear proliferation. Delegates must debate how
technological advancements can enhance national security while preventing misuse by states
and non-state actors. Journalists should pay close attention to differing national positions on
AI regulation, arms control, cyber security, and international cooperation, as these
discussions are expected to generate significant diplomatic disagreements and policy
proposals.
United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
Agenda: Humanity Beyond Borders: Examining the Treatment of Migrants and the Ethics of
Immigration Enforcement.
Background:
This committee explores the humanitarian and legal challenges surrounding migration.
Delegates will debate refugee protection, border security, international humanitarian law, and
ethical immigration enforcement. Journalists should observe how countries balance national
sovereignty with international human rights obligations while documenting proposed
humanitarian solutions.
United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW)
Agenda: Economic Coercion and Systemic Exploitation of Women Labourers Leading to
Unnecessary Hysterectomies in Informal Work Sectors.
Background:
The committee focuses on gender-based exploitation in informal labour sectors and the
unethical medical practices affecting women workers. Delegates are expected to discuss
labour rights, healthcare accessibility, corporate accountability, and legal safeguards.

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
Agenda: The Hidden Cost of Intelligence: Debating AI's Water Consumption and
Sustainable Alternatives.

quantities of water and electricity. Delegates will debate balancing technological innovation

All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM)
Agenda: Deliberation on the Impact of Cross-Border and International Terrorism on India's
National Security and Foreign Policy.

counter-terrorism strategies, border security, diplomatic relations, intelligence coordination,

IPL Mega Auction
Background:
The IPL Mega Auction is a fast-paced simulation where franchises strategically build
competitive teams while managing budgets and player priorities. Journalists should cover
major signings, bidding wars, franchise strategies, unexpected purchases, and post-auction
analysis in a sports journalism style.
Matrix of Marvel (MOM)
Agenda: Beyond the Sacred Timeline: Deliberating the Morality of Multiversal Intervention
and the Ethics of Sacrifice in a Collapsing Reality.
Background:
This fictional committee explores complex ethical dilemmas within the Marvel Multiverse.
Delegates represent iconic characters whose decisions influence multiple realities. Journalists
should focus on alliances, conflicts, turning points, and compelling narratives while
maintaining immersive and engaging reporting.
