Slide 1 – Title
Good morning/afternoon everyone.
We're The Invincibles, and today we'll be presenting our project proposal called VR
Memory Lane.
Our team consists of Arfa Farooqui, Project Manager; Santiago Pelaez, Functional Lead;
Michael Morris, Technology Lead; and Chance Shungu, Quality and Documentation
Lead. Today we'll explain the problem we're solving, our solution, project scope,
timeline, and planning process.
Slide 2 – Overview
Today, most memories are stored as photos and videos on phones or computers. While
meaningful, they remain non-immersive. Virtual reality has become increasingly
popular, but it is rarely used for preserving personal memories. Our project combines
these ideas by allowing people to experience memories in an immersive way.
Slide 3 – Solution
VR Memory Lane transforms photos and videos into an interactive 3D virtual
environment. Instead of simply viewing pictures, users can step inside important
moments like vacations, birthdays, weddings, graduations, or family gatherings and
relive them through VR.
Slide 4 – Core Features
The application has three core features: User Upload, where media is uploaded;
Environment Generation, where the system creates a virtual world from the media; and
Immersion, where users freely explore and relive memories inside VR.
Slide 5 – Project Scope
The project includes a functional VR application, intuitive interface, photo and video
uploads, virtual environment generation, navigation controls, user testing and
feedback, and complete documentation.
Slide 6 – Project Timeline
The project follows five phases: Project Management and Planning, Requirements and
Design, VR Prototype Development, Testing and Quality Assurance, and Deployment
and Project Closure.
Slide 7 – Planning
Before development, detailed planning was completed. Communication and
stakeholder management plans were created to keep the project organized and reduce
risks.
Slide 8 – Communication Matrix
The communication plan includes kickoff meetings, weekly team meetings, technical
design meetings, monthly status meetings, and regular project status reports to ensure
everyone stays informed.
Slide 9 – Stakeholder Matrix
Key stakeholders include IT, Marketing, Security, Risk Management, Leadership, and
the Public. Each group has different responsibilities and expectations that must be
managed throughout the project.
Slide 10 – Stakeholder Strategy
High-impact stakeholders are managed closely through frequent communication. Other
groups are kept informed or satisfied depending on their influence and interest in the
project.
Slide 11 – Project Schedule
The schedule outlines each project phase from planning through deployment, with
milestones showing overall progress.
Slide 12 – Gantt Chart
The Gantt chart breaks the project into individual tasks, shows task dependencies, and
identifies the critical path needed to complete the project successfully.
Slide 13 – Our Team
Each team member contributed in project management, functional design, technology
development, or quality assurance, allowing the project to be completed successfully.
Slide 14 – Thank You
Thank you for your time and attention. We'd be happy to answer any questions.
