autonomy. Assume depth of discharge = 60%. OR Calculate the number of 110 Wp solar
panels required to charge 5 nos. of 12 V, 100 Ah batteries connected in parallel. Assume
charging current = 1/10 of Ah rating.

PART C: A house has three 18 W fluorescent lamps (4 h/day), one 60 W fan (6 h/day), and
one 75 W LED TV (5 h/day). Powered by 12 Vdc, 110 Wp PV module. Determine (1) Solar
energy consumption in Wh/day (2) Size of PV panel (3) Rating of inverter. Assume panel
generation factor = 3.4 and 30% loss. OR Calculate the number of 110 Wp solar panels
required to charge 4 nos. of 12 V, 100 Ah batteries connected in parallel. Assume charging
current = 1/10 of Ah rating.
