Learning Objectives

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

1. Recognize and say at least six colours.

2. Follow simple English instructions using colours.

3. Identify colours in classroom objects.

Create a simple colourful picture and describe it using English colour words.

Materials:

 Colour flashcard
 Crayons
 Small coloured balls
 Music (colour song)

Lesson Procedure (40minutes)

1. Introduction (5minutes)

 “Good morning, everyone!”


 “Good morning, Teacher.”
 “OK, Let’s sing a color song.”
“Do you remember colour song, we learned yesterday?”
 “Yes, teacher.”

Sing a simple color song while pointing to colourful flashcard.


Students clap and repeat the colour words.

2. Teach (10 minutes)

Teacher show the flashcards or things.

“Red!” and student repeat “Red!” continue with all colours .

3. Practice (15 minutes)

Game: Colour Hunt


Teacher places colour cards around the classroom and then says:

 “Find something red!”


 “Find blue colour cards.”
 “Wave your hands when here purple.” and practice a simple
sentences.

For example;

 “What colour is it?”


 “It’s yellow.”

And make pair practice. Students switch roles.

4. Review (10 minutes)

Make a colourful rainbow using seven different colors. After drawing,


teacher
ask the questions and students says;
For example;
 “Show me blue ball.”
 “This is white ball.”
 “I like black crayon.”

Teacher praises students;

“Great job! See you next time! ”

Assessment
The teacher observes whether students can;
 Name at least six colours correctly.
 The next day, find and take something one colours for each person.
 Ask their dress or something colours.
