Unit 2: A Day in Your Life! (Daily Routines)

My Daily Routine
First, I wake up at 6:30 a.m. and brush my
teeth. Then, I take a shower and get dressed
for school. After that, I have breakfast with my
family.
Next, I go to school at 7:30 a.m. At lunchtime,
I eat with my friends in the cafeteria.
In the afternoon, I come home and do my
homework. Then, I play soccer or listen to
music. After that, I have dinner with my family.
Finally, brush my teeth, and go to bed at 9:30
p.m.
My Daily Routine
Para describir tu rutina diaria, usa simple present tense and action verbs such as wake up
(despertarse), brush my teeth (cepillarme los dientes), take a shower (bañarme), get dressed
(vestirme), have breakfast (desayunar), go to school (ir a la escuela), study (estudiar), do my
homework (hacer mis tareas), have dinner (cenar), and go to bed(acostarse).
Puedes conectar tus ideas con conectores de secuencia como first (primero), next (luego), then
(después), after that (después de eso), later (más tarde), and finally (finalmente).

Unit 4: Connecting Ideas! (Using Connectors)

Common Connectors:
Addition (Adición)

Contrast (Contraste)
but = pero
however = sin embargo
on the other hand = por otro lado

therefore = por lo tanto

Story Time!
Look at the image below and write a short story. Write your story in 35 words or more. Use

Example: Last Saturday, Maria made a birthday cake for her friend. She followed a recipe and

with a big smile.
