Temperature
I Can estimate and measure temperature using a
thermometer.

Investigate
Vera wants to go outside to read, but the temperature is too hot.
Her mom says if she reads under a tree, it will be cooler.

What tool can you use to determine which spot is cooler?

Temperature is the measure of how hot or cold something is.

Degrees Fahrenheit (°F) are customary units of temperature.
Degrees Celsius (°C) are metric units of temperature. The scale
on the side of the thermometer is like a number line. The top of
the red line shows the temperature.
