API Integration Engineer (Python)

Location: India(Remote)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced API Integration Engineer with strong expertise in Python and
enterprise API integrations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing,
developing, testing, and maintaining secure, scalable APIs and webhooks that connect
multiple enterprise applications and third-party platforms. You will work closely with
product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver
reliable integration solutions while ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
• Build, test, deploy, and maintain robust APIs and webhooks to integrate disparate
enterprise systems.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs to support business and integration requirements.
• Integrate third-party applications, enterprise platforms, and external services.
• Implement secure authentication mechanisms including OAuth2, API Keys, JWT,
and data encryption.
• Ensure API security, reliability, scalability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor API performance, troubleshoot integration issues, resolve data
synchronization failures, and optimize system performance.
• Develop reusable integration components and API services.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, and business
teams to define integration requirements.
• Create and maintain API documentation, technical specifications, OpenAPI/Swagger
documentation, and data mapping documents.
• Support production deployments, investigate incidents, and provide technical
guidance to internal teams and clients.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement
initiatives.

Required Skills
• 8–10 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience building enterprise-grade REST APIs.
• Experience with GraphQL and SOAP APIs.
• Working knowledge of [Link] and/or Java for integration scenarios.
• Strong understanding of API architecture, webhooks, and microservices.
• Experience implementing OAuth2, JWT, API Keys, SSL/TLS, and encryption.
• Strong SQL and database knowledge (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or similar).
• Experience troubleshooting API performance, integration failures, and data
synchronization issues.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms
(AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with experience working in Agile teams.
