Existing technology of the project
• Traditional Boost Converters – Conventional boost converters struggle with low voltage
gain and require high duty cycles, leading to efficiency losses and component stress.
• Double-Boost Topology – A two-stage boost converter improves voltage gain while
maintaining efficiency and reducing the load on individual components.
• Voltage Gain Enhancement – Techniques like coupled inductors, switched capacitors,
and voltage multiplier cells help achieve higher output voltages with minimal losses.

Results obtained till date
• The graph showcases input voltage, an intermediate boost stage (Boost 1), and the final
output voltage. It visually demonstrates the step-up conversion process in a power
electronics system, likely a DC-DC converter.
• The input voltage remains relatively constant, while the boosted voltage levels show a
noticeable increase over time, indicating successful step-up conversion, likely for an
electric vehicle regenerative braking system.

Works to be carried out
Design and Schematic Development:
. Create detailed circuit designs and schematics for the double-boost DC/DC converter,
selecting appropriate components (inductors, capacitors, MOSFETs, diodes) to ensure high
efficiency and compatibility with the regenerative braking system.
Simulation and Performance Analysis:
. Use simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS) to model the converter and
regenerative braking system, analyzing the converter’s performance under different
regenerative braking conditions, including efficiency, voltage regulation, and power losses.
