The document provides troubleshooting instructions for loco pilots operating 3-phase locomotives, detailing steps for addressing faults related to bogie meters and throttle response. It also outlines procedures for handling flashovers on the loco roof and lists the functions of various processors used in the locomotives. Key operational protocols emphasize the importance of acknowledging fault messages to ensure safety and proper functioning of the locomotive systems.

3-Phase Locomotives Other important instructions to Loco Pilots on 3-phase locos

b) Fault message disappears.

c) BZ V-O-F stops sounding.
d) In case of sub system isolation by system, isolation message appears. Isolation
message can be acknowledged by pressing ‘Enter’ button in DDU.
NOTE: During P1 or P2 faults, If LP has not acknowledged the fault with BPFA
and if LP clears the screen (especially in Medha make) then protective
action likely to continue until he presses BPFA. So, LP has to
acknowledge the BPFA for any kind of fault P1 or P2) before he presses
Home button on screen.
Troubleshooting for Bogie Meters not deviating without any fault message:
1. Bring throttle to “0” position.
2. Trip VCB and reclose VCB and try.
3. Still if unsuccessful Switch OFF switch ON CE as per procedure & try.
4. Change cab & try.
5. Still unsuccessful inform to Territorial TLC .
Troubleshooting for Throttle not responding without any fault message:
1. If throttle not responds without any fault message, LP has to bring the throttle to
“0” position, trip VCB and reclose VCB and try.
2. If still unsuccessful, Switch OFF & ON the CE & try.
3. Change the cab and try. If still unsuccessful, make necessary remarks in loco log
book for further attention by shed staff.

22.4 Flash over on loco roof with or without any message/ relay action;
1. Trip VCB if not tripped
2. Lower the pantograph or press ESPB
3. Stop the train immediately
4. Switch ON Flasher Light and secure.
5. Check the loco roof from the ground. If any abnormality notices inform
Territorial TLC /TPC for assistance.
6. If no abnormality noticed energises the loco and resume traction.
