Alright, day one in Thailand.
Alright guys, welcome back to a video. I know we haven’t posted in a couple of weeks, but we’re back, and
……………………………………………………………………. New country, new series — it’s going to
be a fun one. So right now, we’re going to get our Grab and …………………………………. Let’s go.
Alright guys, so we’re currently in our Grab now, heading to our hotel. Anne and I had no idea that the cars
are ………………………………… here — basically like back in Japan.
The airport is massive. We had to …………………………………. It kind of reminds me of the Philippines
with how many people there are here and how busy it is at the airport. Yeah, and the weather is exactly the
same.
Anyways, it’s good to be in Thailand. Super happy to be here.
Alright guys, so 40 minutes later, we ………………………………. Our hotel is Somerset Ekamai here in
Bangkok, and our Grab driver told us Ekamai is a ………………………………
Driving here, we ……………………………………………, so many cafés, bars, and even supermarkets, so
we’re super excited to be staying in this area.
Alright guys, so we just checked in. It’s quite late now — it’s currently 7:30 p.m., so
……………………………………………………………………. The hotel gave us some
………………………………… — so cute. It has the name of the hotel on it. That’s so cute.

🌅 DAY 1 – MORNING
Alright guys, good morning. First full day here in Bangkok, Thailand.
First things first, we’re going to go ……………………………………………………………………. I’ve
been wanting to try ………………………………… for the longest time. Since I planned our itinerary, I
looked up some places and ………………………………… here in Thailand. One of them is mango sticky
rice — and you know we love mango, and I love sticky rice, so mango and sticky rice combined just sounds
so good.
While walking, we actually saw Mark Wiens’ restaurant, which we’ll definitely try one of these days
because it’s super popular. If you don’t know Mark Wiens,

We’re currently here in November, and the weather is really nice. It’s their cooler months. It’s still kind of
hot, but it’s breezy and not as humid. ………………………………… because it’s already kind of hot, and
it’s only like 10:00 a.m.
The weather definitely …………………………………………………………………… . The surroundings
actually remind us a lot of Manila. Even driving from the airport to our hotel last night,
………………………………, “Did we even leave Manila?”
Yeah, it did feel like we were still in the Philippines. ………………………………, in my opinion, it is
cleaner here than Manila — and I feel like I can say that because we’re from the Philippines.
🥭 MANGO STICKY RICE
Oh, there’s so much mango.
Alright guys, we’re currently here at Mae Varee’s mango sticky rice. Our friends Tony and Trang
recommended this place, and it’s very popular here in Bangkok.

We got the large mango sticky rice for 160 Thai baht.

I have no idea how to eat this, so we’re just going to wing it. It also ………………………………… — I
think you drizzle it like this… I don’t know, we’re newbies here.
Wow. I could eat this all day. I could eat this every day that we’re here.

🛍SIAM SQUARE
Alright, we finished our mango sticky rice. Next stop is Siam Square, which is a shopping and entertainment
district here in Bangkok.
To get there, we’re using Bolt, ……………………………………………………………………, but
cheaper here in Thailand.
We’re walking around Siam Square, and …………………………………. I like to call them “Laos,” but
everyone has bags and bags of them. I think this is a very popular place to get them.
The vibe here is really nice — very energetic, lots of people, lots of shops and restaurants. Oh, I already see
the store I want to visit — Gentle Woman flagship store. Oh my gosh, this is the bag that I have. It looks so
nice in green.
There’s also this trending thing — little “hippers.” They come in Smiski, Sonny Angel, and Labubu
versions. …………………………………………………………………….
🍜 STREET FOOD
Right outside the mall, there are ……………………………………………………………………, so we’re
going to ……………………………………………………………………
We got pad Thai, and right beside it they’re selling coconut drinks. If you know us, we love coconut, and it’s
really hot now, so we’re getting one.
We found wooden pallets to sit and eat.
………………………………………………………………………………………………. Growing up, we
only really tried pad Thai. We’re from a small town, so we didn’t have many Thai restaurants.
This is actually better than what we had before. It’s not very spicy — ………………………………….
First pad Thai in Thailand — I’m sure there are better ones, but this is good.
Honestly, I’m more excited for the coconut.
……………………………………………………………………, but it’s actually coconut meat and juice.

If you’re in Siam Square, we recommend going to Siam Paragon — it’s right there.
There are so many cool shops, and the malls here are amazing.
🌃 ASIATIQUE – EVENING
……………………………………………………………………: Asiatique The Riverfront. It’s a very
popular place at night with rides, restaurants, and shops.
We came early to get a proper meal because
……………………………………………………………………. We also have a river cruise later.
That’s also the tallest Ferris wheel in Thailand — we’re riding that later.
🍽️DINNER
We’re eating at an ………………………………… with good reviews.
The menu is huge — ………………………………….
Anne doesn’t like spice, but everything here is spicy.
We ordered pad Thai, …………………………………, and ………………………………….
The soup is amazing — very fragrant, coconuty, and slightly sour.
The pineapple fried rice is huge — served inside a pineapple. It has raisins, cashews, sausage, and pineapple.
The flavors are so unique and delicious.
The shrimp pad Thai here is …………………………………………………………………….
🎡 FERRIS WHEEL & STREET FOOD
We’re riding the Ferris wheel — it’s so tall. There’s …………………………………, which is nice because
it’s hot outside.
The view is amazing — you can see the river where we’ll do the cruise later.
We booked tickets through Klook.
🦂 SCORPION
We found street food vendors selling bugs.
They even have scorpions. Alright, I’m trying a scorpion for the first time.
Oh my God… it’s ……………………………………………………………………… but also very weird
and strong.

🚢 DINNER CRUISE
It’s finally time for the river cruise. Our boat is here — it’s so lively. There’s a red carpet, music, and lots of
food.
This is the Chao Phraya cruise — a ………………………………… with a Thai and international buffet.
We’re cruising through Bangkok at night.
There’s music, singing, and lots of food again.
🌙 END OF DAY
Alright guys, we just finished the dinner cruise. It was really fun — great energy.
It’s now 9:30 p.m. It’s been a long but fun first full day here in Bangkok.
