1. What your Parents think about you. In the opinion of my

parents, I am a fairly disciplined person. They like my attitude when I
after my services to share the domestic responsibilities. I am quite
obedient to them. They often want my help whenever a guest comes to
our home, because they think I can organize everything At time they do
not like my late night TV watching but I feel that TV is best
entertainment medium after a day long office work.

2. What your Seniors/Employers think about you. My employers

are my seniors like me because I am regular in meeting the commitment,
which I had promised. I am always on time and always finish my work
on time. They always prefer my services whenever there is meeting or
conference is scheduled. They even call upon me sometimes for advice
on crucial matters. At time they do not like when I help my colleagues in
completing their work but I feel it is not bad to help anybody especially
when a friend needs our services.

colleagues often appreciate me for my cheerful nature. They enjoy my
company and like my attitude when I help them. They sometimes
complaint me when I do not accompany them to see late night movies or
parties but I think it is better if we manage these programme during day
time.

Ans – Yes, I have gone through many sources. So far as coaching from
Private Academies (Civil) is concerned, I have not taken any such type of
coaching because it is not proved so much successful due to various
reasons as per guidance of my seniors, friends and experience of
candidates recommended by SSBs. But I have totally devoted myself
towards this challenging target as my aim was to get through SSB so I
have tried my best to acquire knowledge through what ever sources I can
do. It was the question of my career and I have not left any stone
unturned. I have devoted many precious years in achieving this
objective. I was in very close touch with my seniors every time and
observed their life style, working, principles, qualities and what are
special in them? I never hesitate to ask anybody about my doubts or
queries irrespective of rank and status. I have inculcated good habit in
my personality and used in my day-to-day life. I have developed comn
skills in English of reading, writing, speaking in a group, interaction with
senior personalities, physical fitness, updating my knowledge by various
sources. I have attended coaching class conducted by my Centre and
taken very important guidance from my seniors i.e. Col SL D’ Couto, Col
Ranjit Singh, Lt Col Amarjeet Singh, lt Col Satbir Singh, Maj VK Tmar,

the level of satisfaction and my previous failures set challenge in front of

STORY NO - 1
Harish was made a Polio – Camp Coordinator, for which
contracted doctors, nurses and para- medical staff of nearby hospital for
their camp. He conducted a door to door campaign to inform the people
about the camp and educated them about its importance. He also
arranged the students’ march chanting slogans about the camp.
Pamphlets were distributed indicating the day, date, time and venue of the
camp. On the D-day a public personality was also invited. Children
below 5 years administered polio-drop and greeted by personality. The
camp turned a success. Harish acknowledged every one for their support.
STORY NO – 2

Mr John appointed as Forest Offr. He noticed that villagers of

nearby villages used to cut the trees and vegetation for the fuel. He was
concerned with as it cause depletion of forest cover. John made a plan
and met with the Sarpanch and with his help assembled the villagers and
imparted them the importance of the forest cover for human life and
acquainted them about the non-conventional sources of energy like solar
cooker, biogas etc. With the help of BDO arranged for soft loan for the
installation of solar cooker and bio gas plants. This way he resolved the
villagers’ fuel problem. He then motivated the peoples and promoted to
opponestation drive with their cooperation and everybody started
plantation and within a few years the whole area covered with dense
trees, gardens and forests.
STORY NO –3
Ramesh was an outdoor kind of person. He used to go on morning
walk and jogging alongwith a Army Officer (Retd) living nearby his
house. Once he noticed that the man was absent from the morning
session for two days. He went to his house and found that the man was
running high fever and no body was at home to look after him. Ramesh
immediately bring doctor at his home. Brought medicine prescribed by
the doctor and informed his wife on telephone who was at her parents
home. He looked after him and the person soon recovered and then on
getting well they again started their exercise session.

STORY NO – 4.
Ajay was a good sportsman. He with his M.A. studies, was a
regular player and was captain of college hockey team. One day he saw a
notice that the inter college events in sports were to be held after 2
months. He made a circular and called all new and old players to attend
final selection trial after 10 days. He selected team with his coach. Plan
a strategy and work on it. They prepared hard by practicing 3 hours in
morning and 3 hours in evening, going to college gym, jogging etc. After
the preparation, went to participate, with a better co-ordination and team
spirit, make the game in their favour. He acknowledged every one for
their hard work and efforts to earn name and fame to the college.
STORY NO – 5
Mr A Khan had completed his [Link]. studies. He wanted to go in
for higher studies. He went to his teachers for guidance. The teachers
told him about the GRE exam. He collected all the information required
from is teachers, educational seminars and from exhibitions. He collected
the study material, prepared a timetable and followed it. Consulted more
books and planned a strategy to write answer priority wise. He set for
examination and cleared it. Thus he went abroad for doing his [Link]. in
Bio Chemistry and Benetics.
STORY NO – 6
Thomas entered in the Govt run school as its principle and realized
that the school faired very badly at the annual examination. He
scrutinized the whole system to locate flaws and discussed them with the
teachers and staffs to organized work shops, literary competition se more
teaching aid, provide a playful learning to the students. The
administrative staff was also oriented and inspired to work devotedly.
The students were instructed to be punctual with their work surprise tests
and inspections were conducted. Thus the whole system of the school
was revitalized. The efforts bore fruits and results recorded a rising
trends.

STORY NO – 7
James plan to organise Annual day to the college was given green
signal by principal. He already chalked out the whole program. He
displayed a notice on the notice bd for volunteers to join him. He then
briefed them about the plan and formed committee and appointed a leader
of committee each who have to report to him. The funds were arranged
from college fund. Invitation was sent to the chief guest and other
dignitaries. The rehearsal of cultural pgme was done. The participants
for activities like debate, painting, cartoon making were given the topics.
The D-day came. The cultural programme, the competition of debate,
painting etc and prize distribution all were appreciated. In the end James
acknowledged all. He felt satisfied that the pgme were all well.

STORY NO – 8

Capt Abrahim is specialized in Mountain Warfare taught his troops

the lesson of mountain warfare. He set a demonstration of this to them
and told them all the tricks and methods to climb. He was regular to
practice this with his troops on the nearby hill. In a short time they all
became an expert ‘Climber’. Abrahim’s company was briefed to
apprehend the terrorists group hidden at one of important heights. He
immediately explained his troops about his plan and motivated them for
the hunt. He surrounded that height and started the operation at night.
The troops were better trained and well aware of the terrain. These swift
attacks surprised the terrorists group and were easily apprehended.
Abrahim commended his troops.

STORY NO – 9

The College wanted to organize a blood donation camp. College

Principal called upon the students to help him in organizing it. Salman
immediately volunteer and explained his plan to principal. He then
motivated all his friends and asked for their cooperation and participation.
They all started a massive campaign for the camp. Everyone was invited
in the camp. A famous personality was also invited. The arrangement
for refreshment was also made by the college fund. The staffs of nearby
hospital were called for blood collection. The blood camp was a success.
The donors were given refreshment and greeted by famous personality.
Salman acknowledged everyone who participated in the camp and was
beamed with satisfaction.
STORY NO – 10

Tom a senior architect at the ASI was assigned the task of

restoration of ruins of the fort. He chalked out his plan and collected
material related to the forts history and architectural design from the Dept
of library, prepared an out sketch followed by the clay model approved
and hired skilled artists for restoration purpose. He monitored and
assisted them in the work. The fort then got renovated. Tom also got
floral plants planted around the fort. The work turned the fort into tourist
spot, which earned sustainable revenue for the Dept. Tom acknowledge
everybody for their good work.
STORY NO – 11

Sunil’s father had transferable job hence he had many friends. He

wrote to all of them regularly and shared nodes with them. One day he
received a friend’s letter informing him about his coming to Sunil’s place.
Sunil welcomed his friend at the railway station and made lodging arngs
for him. Following day he took him for visiting the historical monuments
and day after for shopping. Next day he met a friend went for a movie
and saw some other beautiful places and spots of the city. Ten Sunil
ensured a reservation for return journey for his friend. While seeing him
off, Sunil presented a bracelet to his friend as a mark of friendship. Thus
he made his visit a memorable one.

STORY NO – 12

Rohit as the DM of the area found that the villagers had to time and
again travel miles of distance to reach the Dist HQ, to get all their work
done. A computer enthusiast
Rohit decided to use cmptr to solve the problems. He opened up small
cmptr center in the villages of his area and connected them all the Dist
HQ through internet. Further he launched a cmptr literacy pgme in his
area to educate the people in their basic operation of cmptrs and the use
of internet. This movement not only saved them from traveling long but
also made available the necessary information at their disposal. Thus the
villagers of the Area speed fast towards progress.

STORY NO – 13

Ashim, a scientist in the Horticulture Dept was told to deal with

problems of villagers that flooded the Depts public grievances cell
regarding low crop yields. Ashim collected the soil samples and tasted
them and advised the farmers to use phosphate fertilizers. He further
acquainted tem with modern agriculture practices and new high yielding
crop varieties seeds and also helped them in procuring latest machinery
with grants from the Govt. The Crop Growth proliferation and yields
started showing high. He helped them in selling of storage cells and also
arranged for farmer selling the produce in the market at good prices.
This made the farmer flourish him and feel satisfied of having contributed
to their growth.
STORY NO – 14
 Rashid was MO in village dispensary. While on inspectional visit
to the village he noticed that village pond was being directed by discharge
of waste. He understood the real cause of frequent out burst of water
borne disease in the area. He decided to combat the problem by building
a biogas plant. He mapped the network and got approved. With the
grant from govt, help from PWD and support and co-operation from
villagers, the work for laying pipelines and building the plant started in
full speed and soon got completed. Nallahs were also laid and connected
to the plant sewage disposal now a lot easier and people now use biogas
and plants waste as manure. The village looks much cleaner than ever.

STORY NO – 15

Jack fetched a degree in medicine and decided to set and start his
clinic in his village, as there is no medical facilities there and due to this
people are facing a lot of problems. He created infrastructure set up a
dispensary and bring facilities in the village. He also trained some
educated unemployed youth as his Para medical staff. Continuing the
good work he launched a sanitation drive followed by a vaccination drive.
He liberated villagers with importance of community hygiene and thus
motivated them to establish a healthy disease free environment in the
village.
STORY NO –16

Raju was appointed as hospital supdt. He was aware of the

condition of his hospital and decided to improve it. He called a meeting
of all the staff and discusses his plan to make the service to patients’
satisfaction. He launched a pgme which included sanitation of the
compound got all the machines serviced and repaired a in-service pgme
for the hospital staff. This have motivation effect on staff, they also put
their maximum efforts in the regard. The condition of hospital has
improved and Raju also introduced free OPD and other facilities for the
pers. The hospital reputation shot up this made his contented.

STORY NO – 17

Raman had visited his village. He was concerned with the poor
living condition prevalent in his village. He planned to improve the poor
living condition of villagers. He collected his friends and discussed the
matter with them and asked for volunteer in his pgme. At the weekend,
they visited the village and collected the villagers with the help of
Sarpanch and told the villagers about the importance of sanitation in
one’s life. With the help of villagers they understood sanitation drive,
cleans all the village and dump the waste in a it and covered the pit with
the soil. The village nallahs were cleaned and spread with pesticides.
With this drive village looked clean. Raman motivated villagers to
maintain their cleanliness.
STORY NO – 18

George , lived in a remote village in his neighbourhood resided, an

elderly couple. At night the neighbours wife came knocking their door.
She informed about her husband’s ill health and requested a favour. She
wanted George immediately to get the prescribed medicine from the
town. George immediately agreed. He took the prescription, money and
torch and headed towards the town, despite the bad weather. He land at
the police station and obtained address of nearest chemist shop opened 24
hrs procured the medicine and left for the village. The ld man get his
medicine in time and recovered soon.

STORY NO – 19

Jam, a project offr with the irrigation dept, took up the

responsibility for the solving the problem of water shortage being faced
by the villagers. He planned to rejuvenate the old rain water harvesting
system. He discussed the issue with the Sarpanch and the DC and
arranged the funds. Then he motivated the villagers to harvest the rain
water. Taking their cooperation he deepened the old ponds, repaired the
old water tanks (bavries) and even got new ones constructed. In the
rainy seasons they collected the rain water which came to use in dry days.
Thus this cause the water table of the area to rise significantly and the
problem of water shortage was abandoned for ever.

STORY NO – 20

Pankaj lived in a area adjoining the border. Every year, the period
following the harvesting seasons saw the army pers visit the once on trg
tour. One day a caravan got stuck in the mud, the ropes and sand
channels being used by the jawans were falling short of their requirement.
Pankaj imdtly lent them two wooden planks and a long rope and also
helped them in digging and pushing the gun. The task was soon
accomplished and the gun removed. He offered them a cup of tea and bid
them good bye.
 STORY NO – 21

The earthquake had stirred the nearby city. Gopal got the news
from daily bulletin in DD. He imdtly telephone all his friends and called
all to meet next day. He discussed the matter with his friends, all
decided to volunteer in the relief operation. They took food and medicine
to the site. Govt services were already on but required more hands for
rehabilitation work. Gopal and his friends organized a rehabilitation
camp and discharging main duty by providing and discharging relief
material like food, clothing and medicine to the people. The relief
operation was soon over. Gopal and friends returned with satisfaction.

STORY NO – 22

Rajesh decided to visit Republic Day function with his friends. He

bought the ticket and witnessed the marvelous parade at Rajpath. He was
highly motivated by the armed forces march past, specially army
contingent. He was impressed by seeing latest weapons and missiles.
He even enjoyed the flying stunts presented by the IAF pilots and other
cultural pgmes of state. Rajesh was so motivated that after coming back
from Delhi he decided to join the Army. He filled up the form of CDS
and went for SSB interview and got success after hard work and
determination. He underwent rigorous trg and excelled well in the trg.
He lead the contingent in POP and after passing out he was posted out to
his unit. Luckily his Regt get to attend the RD parade this year. Rajesh
volunteered himself and he was given the chance. He led the contingent
and was happy to see the regt pride at Rajpath.

STORY NO – 23

Rajat was an Edn offr. He was posted to a region where illiteracy

was on the peak. He visited the villagers who were sitting under the tree
after day long hard work. Rajat got an opportunity to talk to them and
discovered that the villagers has suffered on all fronts due to illiteracy.
Rajat then meet the Sarpanch of the villages and apprised him of his
concern. He made a blue print of his plan and met the BDO and apprised
him of his plan. The BDO gave his accent to the campaign. He got old
building released by the village panchayat. He stressed on adult edn and
arranged for a teacher and released edn fwds for the mission. He also
established a Lib and a Cmptr Centre. He carried out regular inspection
and the region became literate. The people began to use cmptr for the
agricultural production and prosperity came. Rajat was happy to see the
village prosperity.
 STORY NO – 24

Sohan after engineering came to his village. There Sohan come to

know about problems due to river. He thought if the village got
connected to the city through a bridge over the river, then most of the
villagers problems could be sorted out. He made a blue print for the
bridge took it to BDO alongwith the Sarpanch. He even suggested to
make a picnic spot on both side of the bridge and a boating club for sports
lover. BDO by reading the proposal, accepted and hand over the task to
Sohan. Shan took the initiative and work hard to fulfill the dream project.
After 6 months when the project completed, the whole scenario of the
village received a new look. It became a new picnic spot and new
market. Sohan was glad to see the prosperity in the region. Sohan’s
interest earned him several other assignment and he happily accepted
them.
STORY NO – 25

One day when Rahim was enjoying swimming in river. He saw

some people called them and told that swimming is more enjoyable than
boating. And thus motivated others for swimming. He then took his
idea to sports authority of his town and started a swim club near the river.
He started giving free coaching to people. He narrated them the
advantages of the swimming and sponsored his swimmier at various
levels. He saw his trained swimmers bagging gold at various events in
swimming competition and later in other cities. Within short duration his
trainees performed at various levels and bagged medal. They even took
parts in International events and did country’s pride. Rahim feels
immensely happy to see is trainees in various international events and
doing counter’s pride.
STORY NO – 26

Capt Satish was an Army Offr. After few year when he went to
his village he found that there was no bank facilities. Due to which not
only ex-servicemen and pensioners but also other villagers faced
problems. He thought about it and planned the action. He asked the
Sarpanch about it and asked him to give the complete data about the need
of the bank. After receiving all the details he alongwith the Sarpanch
went to the city SBI, Manager. He apprised him about the situation and
convinced him to open up a SBI Branch in the village. Even the Manager
was delighted about the expansion of SBI domain Capt Satish helped the
manager in completing all formalities and provided him a building very
soon. SBI Branch was opened in his village. Now villagers had no
problems and he was happy to see the villagers happy.
 STORY NO – 27

Capt Peter was on AL. he had a neighbour, Seema who wish to

join the Army. Seema made a visit to Capt Peter on his AL. She
projected her request to him. Capt peter was highly impressed. He
arranged with all his previous notes for her and guide her how to go about
the test. He advised her on the latest happening in and around the world
and daily committed at least 3 hours in the morning and evening. He told
her about the Army’s requirement. He was available to her after
completing his AL through telephone and letter. And continuously kept
in touch with her to help her in her endeavours. She appeared before the
selection board and made her entry with a high ranking. She than
underwent rigorous trg. There also peter was in constantly in touch with
her and motivated her to be a top LC and was happy to see her in the
service of motherland.
