Starting my internship search was a real eye-opener to how challenging

finding a job can be. It meant sending countless emails, attending numerous
interviews, and often facing the frustrating “we’ll call you” response, or even
worse, no response at all. I actively posted in Facebook groups to find
internships, and while some people messaged me, the opportunities were
either too far or not quite right. My friends and I decided to tackle this
challenge together, supporting each other by attending interviews as a group
and helping each other continue the search until we all secured an
internship.

Fortunately, one of my friends received a message from a company and

included us in the interview process. This led to my current internship at
C’scor, a company focused on products for moms, babies, pets, and home
essentials. I was nervous, being a first-timer and unsure of how to answer
the interview questions, which were all focused on marketing. When they
told me I was qualified that day, it didn’t quite sink in, as it was my first job
interview. C'scor has a wide range of brands, including Tiny Buds for babies,
Buds and Blooms and Sunmum for mommies, All Kind for pets, Dentiste for
oral care, and the newest addition, Kaalo for pastries. A week before we
started, we had a product orientation to learn about all the brands.

During the internship, the team provided guidance and support, gradually
allowing us to take ownership of our tasks. We created content for TikTok,
promoting products, deals, and company events, while also sharing valuable
information about the products, such as how and when to use them, and who
they are intended for. Every weekend, we participated in events, which
essentially involved sales talks. We had to ensure we were knowledgeable
about every product to answer questions from moms and assist customers
with their purchases. We also created invitations to promote upcoming
events.

On a personal level, it's built my resilience. There were definitely times when
I was tired, but I learned to push through and prioritize my responsibilities. I
also gained a much clearer understanding of the direct link between effort
and reward – the more I put in, the more I got out of it. Beyond just
completing tasks, I developed a stronger sense of accountability. It wasn't
just about getting things done, but ensuring they were done well and
thoroughly.

Professionally, I gained practical skills in proper product promotion. I learned

that simply pushing a product isn't enough; educating customers and
building trust is key. I also had the opportunity to observe different customer
engagement strategies from various establishments. It was fascinating to
see how different businesses approached customers and adapted their
strategies to capture attention and meet diverse needs.

Looking ahead, I'm taking away some key lessons that I know will be
invaluable: First, consistency and reliability are foundational to professional
success. Showing up and being dedicated directly impacts the outcomes you
achieve. Second, always prioritize clear communication and customer
education to avoid misunderstandings and ensure customer satisfaction. And
finally, be observant of effective practices in your field and adapt proven
strategies to fit different contexts.
