Good afternoon. My name is Yamini Chauhan. I completed my B.A.

in English Literature from

Smt. A. P. Patel Arts and Late Shree N. P. Patel Commerce College in 2019, and my M.A. in
English Literature from the School of Languages, Gujarat University in 2021. I am currently
pursuing my PhD at Shri Govind Guru University, where my research focuses on the
psychoanalytical study of literary characters. I have successfully defended my Viva and am
currently in the final administrative stage. All that remains is the formal submission of the final
version and the public defence, which I expect to complete by June 2026. I have also qualified
the NTA UGC-NET examination for Assistant Professor in English, held in December 2023.

My teaching experience includes working as Visiting Faculty at Sheth Shree Mohanlal

Chaturbhuj Agarwal Science College and as Lecturer at M. P. Patel Institute of English. I was
also selected as a beneficiary under the Shodh scheme for PhD scholars by the Government of
Gujarat, which supported my research from 2022 to 2024.

Academically, my background in English language and literature equips me to teach a wide

range of subjects effectively. For example, my grounding in linguistics and literary analysis
strengthens my ability to teach English grammar with clarity. My exposure to
communication-based pedagogy and classroom activities enables me to train students in
communication skills and business communication, which are essential for management
students. Furthermore, my research in psychoanalytical literary studies has deepened my
understanding of human behaviour and cultural contexts, which directly supports teaching
Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) by connecting literature, culture, and communication.

My teaching philosophy is student-centred and activity-based. I use group discussions, close

reading, presentations, and communication-oriented activities to make learning interactive and
engaging. These methods encourage students to move beyond memorization and develop
critical thinking, interpretative skills, and confident expression.

Beyond teaching, I am keen to contribute to academic and cultural initiatives such as seminars,
communication events, and collaborative research activities. I believe that English education
in a management institute should not only enhance language proficiency but also empower
students with analytical and professional communication skills that prepare them for leadership
roles.
Salary expectation

My salary expectation is between 35,000 to 40,000 rupees, based on my qualifications,

experience, and the role's responsibilities in a GTU affiliated Institute. This figure is flexible
and negotiable, depending on the overall compensation package, benefits, and growth
opportunities offered by the Institute.

End note

I look forward to contributing to the academic and cultural environment of R. B. Institute of

Management.
