In this assignment, you will demonstrate that you have acquired geospatial analysis skills related
to processing or analysis of ozone concentration. Remember, you performed the analysis of ozone
concentration during lab session. For the assignment, you will estimate Raster values from the
filed data collected. Pls. note that these raster values behave differently (in both time and
space).
There is a sample dataset (point and raster value) available in the assignment folder.
The workflow for this assignment is as follows:
✓ Import dataset and perform basic exploratory analysis of the data (e.g.,
statistical summary, Histogram, QQ plot, Trend analysis and Semi-
variogram).
✓ Fit an empirical semi-variogram. (pls. note that this is a crucial important step)
✓ Apply the kriging model choice and produce a graph (variogram).
✓ Use the selected kriging model to estimate raster values.
✓ Create an output graph (raster value) using software of choice (ArcGIS).
✓ Compute statistical summary.
✓ Produce map based on your study area
The submission should include:
✓ Short description workflow steps
✓ Semi-variogram and Kriging
✓ Good quality output map of different types of kriging
✓ Summary table
✓ Analysis of statistical data
Submission Deadline is November 27, 2023. The GP will be presented on Tuesday 28-
November, when all the Groups will present their assignments.
