I decided to telephone my best friend in order for us to arrange to spend
time together. However, he was confined to bed, so I asked him what
had happened. He explained that his friend had ended their friendship,
and he was so upset that he fell off his bicycle and injured his knee. I
did not feel a great deal of sympathy for him because the accident could
have been avoided. Nevertheless, I hope that his knee recovers as soon
as possible because I have spent a considerable amount of money on
tickets to see our favorite band, which is extremely popular. However, if
he is unable to attend, there are many other people who would be
willing to purchase his ticket, so it would not be a serious problem.
