1. Google Sheets is a web-based application program that
helps you to manage information, do calculations, and
display data graphically using charts.
2. A spreadsheet is a file containing multiple sheets, each
consisting of columns (identified by letters) and rows
(identified by numbers).
3. Cells are the basic units where data is entered, identified
by the coordinates of the intersecting column and row (cell
addresses).
4. You can select a cell, row, column, or an entire sheet by
using a mouse or a keyboard.
5. Editing means changing data values in your sheet.
6. The Undo feature is used to cancel the last changes.
7. The Redo feature reverses the actions performed using the
Undo feature.

Ans – Google sheets is a web-based application program that

represents the row. Therefore, the cell is located at the
intersection of column H and row 5.
3. What types of data can you type in a cell?
Ans – A cell in Google Sheets can contain different types of

performing calculations.
4. How do you select a row in Google Sheets?
Ans – To select a row in Google Sheets, click on the row number
shown on the left side of the worksheet. The complete row will
be highlighted.
4. What is the purpose of formatting in Google Sheets?
Ans – Formatting in a Google Sheet refers to changing the
appearance of cells, text, and data, such as adjusting fonts,
colours, borders, and number styles to make the sheet more
organised and easier to read.
