under the Indian Foreigners Act, 1946, are also explored. It presents case studies and
historical events related to the Bangladeshi refugee crisis in India, offering a nuanced
analysis of the issue within specific contexts. It encapsulates the findings and implications
of this research, highlighting potential solutions to the problem and providing
recommendations for future research or policy actions.
Hypothesis
“An interaction of socioeconomic, political, and historical reasons underlies Bangladesh's
involvement in Assam. This study assumes that historical migration patterns, economic
inequalities, and regional political sensitivities are to blame for the presence of
Bangladeshi refugees in Assam. Additionally, it makes the case that the geopolitics of the
Indian subcontinent determines how well international institutions and legal frameworks
address this issue. This study seeks to shed light on the root causes and potential remedies
of the issue through a thorough analysis of these elements.”

Research Methodology
In this paper, in order to meet the challenges, the researcher has used the doctrinal
method because it is a small project, and due to the paucity of time empirical study
cannot be taken. Though this topic is fit for empirical study the researcher has been
confined to the doctrinal method. To ensure the objectivity of this study, the researcher
underwent a de-learning of her own experience and observation. Secondary data was
used by reanalysing, interpreting, and reviewing existing publications-text and eBooks,
scholarly articles, journals, e-library databases, and official government documents. The
purpose of this paper is to analyse the research questions on the basis of what, why, and
how. The information was gathered from various e-data sources. The data has been
reviewed from websites Google Books and legal documents. In addition, the most recent
information was gathered from various journals and newspapers
