Scene 1 – Jhopdi ke Bahar (Raat ka Samay)
---------------------------------------------
Narrator:
Jade ki raat ke do pehlu…bahar ,thand ka samna karte hue madhav aur uska bhudda
baap…wese pake hue aloo bina namak k hi shayad kha jayenge ye dono. Andar? andar
..Madhav ki patni -Budhiya hai… prasav peeda se karah rahi hai.

Ghisu: churaye hue khane ka maja hi alag hai

Madhav: Haan Dada!

Budhiya (offstage): (karahte hue)


"Ram... haaye re!"

Ghisu:
"Maloom hota hai, bachegi nahi... ja, dekh to aa!"

Madhav:
"Marna hi hai to jaldi mar kyu nahi jaati! Dekh ke kya aaun?"

Ghisu:
"Abe, saal bhar jiske saath raha, usi ke saath itni bewafai!"

Madhav:
"bewafi NAHI!! uska tadapna dekha nahi jaata, dada."

(They roast potatoes silently)

Scene 2 – Subah ka Samay

Madhav (ghabrahate hue):
"Dada... wo mar gayi!"

(Ghisu aur Madhav chhati peette hain)

Ghisu:
"Ab kya hoga, beta? Kafan aur lakdi ka bandobast bhi nahi!"

Madhav: “marne par bhi peso ki zarorat hoti hai!!”…bacche ko bhi sath lekar mar gayi…haiii
reh ..mei to loot gaya!!!

(wo chalte hai gao bhar mei)

Ghisu:”Malik …malik malik…bechari ki atma ko to shanti mile…marne se phle bht tadpi hai
malik”

Zamindar:
"Lo, do rupaye aur waha se 4 lakriya utha lo... par jao yahan se!"…”arey wo wali nhi…inmei
se lo”

Scene 3 – Bazaar Mein

(Sound of crowd or market ambience)

Madhav:
"Ab kya karein dada?"

Ghisu:
"Kafan lena chahiye... par raat ko kaun dekhega? Halka le lo."

Madhav:
"Haan, waise bhi sab jal hi jaayega."

(They look at a liquor shop)

Ghisu:
"Kyu na thoda pee lein? Kafan ka kya hai – jal hi jaayega."

(They buy liquor and food, start eating)

Madhav:
"Hamari atma prasann hai dada, yahi punya hai."
Ghisu:
"Aur kya! Bhagwan jaanta hai, hamne uska shraddh yahin kar diya."

Madhav (thoda nashe mein):


"वो बैकुं ठ में जाएगी। दादा बैकुं ठ की रानी बनेगी। '"

Ghisu:
“हा बेटा बैकुं ठ में न जाएगी तो कया ये मोटे -मोटे लोग जाएुँ गे, जो गरीबोुं को दोनोुं हाथ से लूटते हैं और अपने
पाप धोने के liye गुंगा में जाते हैं और mandiro में जल चढ़ाते हैं ” ।

Madhav:

मगर दादा बेचारी ने zindagi में बड़ा दख भोगा। मरी भी kitna दख झेल कर।”
