MODULE 2: CHAPTER VI

HOW TO DO - 1/3
DAVINCI RESOLVE TUTORIAL
(PART 1 – BASIC)
Comrades, if your timecode appears as a negative value:
Click on the timecode to reset it to a normal value.
Only then will the timecodes listed below would align correctly.

1. INSTALLATION (04:14)
Visit [Link] and download the free version of DaVinci
Resolve program as per your operating system,
in case of windows select WindowsX86,
in case of Apple select MAC OS X,
for LINUX choose LINUX,
and install the program on your computer.

2. SOFTWARE WALKTHROUGH (10:55)


Davinci Resolve has 7 Tabs in the bottom, which are:
i) Media page, used to import video and audio files and other files,
ii) Cut Page, used to cut and trim your imported files,
iii) Edit page, used to edit your imported files,
iv) Fusion page, used to create advanced effects and animation,
v) Color page, used to color correct, color grading your files,
vi) Fairlight page, used to adjust, correct, create the audio of your files,
vii) Export page, used to export the final edited file.

Now that you’ve got an idea of what are the different tabs in Davinci
Resolve, we’ll concentrate on the edit page, where most of your work is
done.
You could Import and cut your video and audio files into the edit page, as
well apply effects and animation in edit page using pre-installed and third-
party plugins, you can also adjust the audio of your files, therefore most of
your work is concentrated in the EDIT Page.
