Final Problem Statement:
With the rapid adoption of cloud computing for data storage and online
services, cybercrime investigations have become increasingly complex,
making digital forensics an essential component of modern cybersecurity.
Cloud environments store massive amounts of information across multiple
geographic regions and are managed by third-party providers, which makes
data collection and verification more difficult for investigators. However,
forensic experts face serious challenges in cloud-based investigations,
including cross-border jurisdictional issues, limited data accessibility,
difficulties in maintaining evidence integrity, and the lack of standardized
forensic frameworks. These challenges often result in unreliable evidence
that may be questioned or deemed inadmissible in legal proceedings. To
address these limitations, this research proposes the development of a
cloud forensic framework that integrates cryptographic hashing,
blockchain-based evidence tracking, and automated forensic tools to
ensure the authenticity, transparency, and reliability of cloud-stored
evidence. The proposed solution aims to enhance the accuracy, efficiency,
and legal admissibility of forensic investigations within cloud
environments, ultimately strengthening the digital justice process.
